Community Update

Aside from monthly event news posts and the 2nd Friday of each month being focused on art/coding updates, all other Fridays are centered around the community!

As we get ready to say goodbye to 2021 (where did the time go?! ), we'd like to extend some heartfelt appreciation to all of you that have chosen to spend your days on Lioden. Whether you've been here from the start or you've just joined today, we're grateful to all of you for your support, and we hope you continue to chill with us and your pixel pride for many more years to come! From Lioden's team to your homes, we wish all of you a safe, warm, and relaxing holiday while we get ready to welcome the new year.

Wait, raffles? Yes, you read correctly! To celebrate the end of 2021, we have released four official raffles for you all to participate in! These raffles all have the standard fee of 5 SB per ticket, with a limit of 1 ticket per account. You can enter all four raffles if you'd like!

A new winter-themed Rime FIRST GENERATION TIGON lady with Feline 7 Lilac (NEW!), Stratosphere Vitiligo, and a chilly Snowy Savanna background is up for impressing in the Special Lioness area linked here!

But wait... that's not all! In addition to hosting four official raffles, we're raffling off a SECOND raffle lioness today!

Enter Official Raffle #5 for a chance to win a Gilded lady with Feline 6 Fiery (NEW!), Saffron Margay, and the fourth Himba Village background!

The cost to enter is the same as trying to impress any other special lioness (50 SB), and tickets are limited to one per account. The only difference is that you do not need to be a Dreamboat to have a chance at impressing this Gilded lady!

This raffle will automatically end on 2021-12-31 at 00:00:00. When it ends, she will be de-aged to 2 years and will be automatically in heat when she is sent to her winner! As an additional gift, the recipient will be manually awarded the achievement for impressing a raffle lioness.

We hope that the multitude of raffles this week (including a second raffle lioness) is a welcome surprise to close out the end of 2021!

New Chat Channel: "Giveaways"

While we appreciate and encourage the generosity many of you exhibit towards your fellow players, we can't help but notice that giveaways tend to overtake the chat room very quickly (and we know that many of you have noticed it too, given the suggestions posted over the years).

To hopefully bring Main Chat back to its original intent (a general chatter area for players to talk about anything in line with Lioden's site rules), we have implemented a new chat channel: Giveaways Chat. You can find this channel in between Art Sales and Help within the chat box dropdown and the chat room.

Giveaways Chat Rules

• Begging is not permitted within Giveaways Chat, nor any other area on Lioden. You may not ask for or request giveaways within Giveaways Chat, as this falls under begging.
  


• Games that require players to comment in the chat room are not permitted within Giveaways Chat (e.g. guessing games, first to call out a number, first/last to ping, etc.). An alternative could be to advertise a giveaway as "first to PM me receives XYZ asset"; otherwise, these games would better suit the forums.
  


• You may not respond to giveaways within Giveaways Chat. If you're interested in a giveaway, then you must either PM the player that posted the giveaway, or post on their forum topic if one is linked.
  


• Multiple players can post giveaways at one time, though each player can only post once every 10 minutes in this channel. As soon as you send a message in Giveaways Chat, a built-in timer will prevent you from posting in there again until your 10 minutes is up.
  


• If you have a lot of assets to give away, it may be in your best interest to set up a forum topic, which you can then link to within Giveaways Chat.
  


• Offers for free artwork are permitted within Giveaways Chat.
  


• Assets up for raffle, sale, or trade where you intend to make a profit off of them may not be posted within Giveaways Chat—only assets that are free or refunded can be posted. It's not exactly a giveaway if you're offering a lion that has a buyout of 15 GB, or an item that you'd like to exchange for another item.
  


• All chat room rules apply to Giveaways Chat.
  


• With the implementation of a Giveaways Chat, all giveaways must now be posted within Giveaways Chat. Players are no longer permitted to offer giveaways in Main Chat. Players will be given one week from today (up to December 31st, 2021) to adjust to this new ruling before our staff team will take action against them.

Regarding NFTs

It has come to our attention that some of our artwork and assets are being uploaded to other websites without our consent or permission. Lioden Ltd will never list our art or any other assets for sale via NFTs. If you spot our art being sold on an NFT marketplace, then that means it has been stolen. We would welcome your reports to us about any listings, or, if you feel comfortable reporting it to the marketplace on our behalf, then we would be more than happy for you to use this statement to back up your claim. To those of you that have already contacted us so far, we greatly appreciate your vigilance!

Bug Fix

Fixed a minor issue where renaming or otherwise updating a beetle in the larva stage would update its "Allow Battling" status to "No". Going forward, this status will only be affected if you intentionally choose "No"/"Yes" and then "Update" your beetle as originally intended.

Item Description Update

The description for the Medlar Fruit item has been updated for clarity. It now reads:
"This item will raise your lion's training bar by 5% per fruit used. It's useful if your lion is close to filling out their training bar and they're aging up soon! If used on a lion that was not cub trained, very little bonus stats will be granted."

We would advise anyone who wishes to use Medlar Fruit to review the Cub Training FAQ section just to ensure you understand the mechanics behind cub training!

New Years Reminder

While it isn't quite New Years yet, this news post will remain open until December 31st, so we wanted to give everyone a reminder regarding the New Years-themed items that will be available to purchase soon! For a refresher on what all items will be available, check out last year's New Years news post!

From December 30th 00:00am to January 4th 11:59pm Lioden time, the New Years-themed items are returning to Lioden and can be purchased/crafted!
