The queen in need of an upgrade

THEMES:
♡ roman empire/greek mythology (I'm esp fond of golden leaf crowns, overall small gold accents) - royalty, warrior or both

♡ egyptian mythology/royalty (gold and black mixed up, Anubis, Bastet theme)

♡ dark fantasy/sci-fi theme (I'm thinking Anakin Skywalker type of robes, lots of dark clothes or just a little, as an accent) <~~ my favorite idea rn!

HELPFUL INFO v1:
• Here's some more things I would love to see going along with all the themes before:
- flowers, leaves and/or feathers <3
- crows, black cats, snakes might be cool
- feline/human/bird skulls
- galaxy theme, but keep it subtle
- robotssss, like mechanical body parts <3
- originality!
- calm mood but with a bit of dark/sinister undertones
Also:
• definitely do NOT overwhelm the design by covering the whole lion in decor - please let their "natural beaty" shine through lol
• I'm not a fan of glowing decor, but I suppose in very small doses it might look good

You don't have to limit yourself to the themes proposed, if you feel inspired to do sth different, there's a chance I will appreciate it more than whatever I have come up with!
On that matter, if you are VERY unsure, feel free to PM me and propose a theme. I'll tell you if it's something I could be interested in. For any questions at all, PM me and I'll try to clear it up, guide you if I can.


This is mainly backround and decor (official and custom) design contest. However, additional markings and/or mutation/pose change is welcome and might increase chances of winning if it goes well with the decor design, but keep in mind:
DO NOT:
• change base/eyes/any existing markings
• add BO features
• add any markings that can be obtained through RMA only
• use any of these poses/mutations:
- default [male and female]
- primal [male and female]
- hybrids (sorry my loves) or any other mutation that somehow impacts main lion in a bad way
- any adolescent or cub stages

HELPFUL INFO v2:
• I might mut replace, but keep in mind for patches/piebald I prefer it be purely visual if it can be (so custom decor, I know there are patches for smilus, for example)
• of all primals, I like smilus the most <3 (edit: ferus is cool too!)
• I like kind pose the most out of all the regular female poses

HOW MANY ENTRIES?
Max. 5 entries and up to 5 variations for each of them, limit set to encourage only best of designs per person. Please make it clear which are entries and which are just other variations of them, for example:

(If you've changed so much that the mood of the whole design shifted a lot... you should probably consider it a different entry, versions might be from a simple pose switch to a whole lot of different decor changed/added, while the overall mood is the same, but pls don't make like twenty petty changes just because – keep only the best)

1st place: 10
2nd place: 5
3rd place: 3
There will be a small prize each for a few runner-ups as well

One person might take all three places with different entries (that is a total of 18 )! If a single design of yours gets a podium you won't gain the runner-up prize though!
