I'd personally like to see it a little more... contrasting. A lot of bases have white/lighter in them on the underside, and/or a clearer distinction between the blues and the greens..  0 players like this post! Like? |

One issue I came across when attempting to make it more contrasting with the greens and blues was that it started becoming far more like a Mardi Gras or Carnaval base, basically into a more fanciful party base than a Peacock/Peafowl base. ☺️ 0 players like this post! I really really like it, seems like it would do well with black & white marks especially. I do think it's a bit too dark or one solid color. If there was a spot with more blue/light (think of the ribs on Ardor) it might make it look more silky/shiny, more iridescent. Maybe on the haunch & a bit on the face? trying to make it look like an actual peacock will be impossible because of the iridescence of the blue feathers on the back of the males. there's also some indigo around the neck that shimmers around the white band. it needs some more fine tuning but looking good so far <3. 0 players like this post! like the base as it is absolutely stunning, but have you thought of making a marking to compliment it? Maybe some spots that are either lighter or darker in color? I think it would compliment the base very well 0 players like this post! Like? |
