There are benefits, but it depends on your goals in the game and how you plan to achieve them. :) Hyena meat drops your lioness’ fertility to 1%. Lions with 1% fertility have a very small increased natural chance of her having a random mutie born, meaning a mutated cub from two non-mutated parents without any items used. While better than nothing I suppose, this is not the best way to try and breed for muties. If I remember correctly, there might also be an achievement where you have to unsuccessfully breed a lioness 100+ times before she gets pregnant, or something like that.

It doesn’t always take 100 tries, but I’ve also seen some wild lions that have taken like 347 tries haha. But yeah I have a stack of them in my hoard that I’ve collected over the years and have never used.
