Hello there! I am proposing one major change to how shadow of deaths work based on the item itself :) Shadow of Deaths should be able to age a lion up into an adult without requiring a rollover from 1.11 years into 2.0 years. Lioden has shortcuts all over the place if you are willing to pay for it; You can skip a cub weaning with an aging stone You can skip the adolescent period with an aging crystal You can skip the pregnancy period with an IBF You could, theoretically, breeze through a lioness’s entire life in one day if you had enough SoDs You can bypass your king cooldown with extra GB You can retire your king early for GB You can put a lioness into heat instantly with a Zebra Heart You can guarantee you waste as little energy as possible breeding lionesses using Angelic Blessings and Black Stallions You can even regain energy at an increased speed or back to 100% completely with Energy Roots, Bone marrows, Red Bulls, and Meat Pies. The only place on Lioden where there is 0 shortcut is the one rollover between teen and adult; there is currently no way to skip this. I think SoDs should have worked this way initially, since it’s purpose is to age a lion ahead one day when used, however this is not the case. I’m completely open to listening to suggestions and/or edits on this, but I think it’s pretty cut and dry! |

I've been thinking about this all day, because I've been breeding a nice Dorsal fur line. It would be really convenient to skip the RO, but it's for good reason. I know I'm in the minority but I'm serious and not just playing devil's advocate. For example, Raffle Lionesses. Having the 1 rollover buffer is very important to these lines. It would only take an aging stone, aging crystal, shadow of death, zebra heart, IBF and repeat to create infinite generations of clones within hours of receiving the RL. Then, value tanks because there's breedable/sellable clones on the same day the RL is released. Same thing when new mutations or bases are released. That one rollover buffer helps preserve a rarity/control. The one rollover buffer ensures that there is at least one rollover between generations of lions and I think it should stay for the stability of the site. "But it's just one day!!" Exactly, it's only one day. You can wait until rollover. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 05/11/24 @ 11:57:15 by 🦎Rango (Main) G7 NRLC Murky (#334921) |

Yeah, I see what you’re saying, but what prevents the person from just doing that tomorrow? One rollover? It’s just an inconvenience that doesn’t stop anything. If I have 800 shadows of death and intend to use them all on one lioness, what prevents me from doing that all in one day anyways? Like, the one rollover wait doesn’t make sense to me. It’s just one day. I’m just gonna do it tomorrow anyways. 5 players like this post! Like? |

Not supporting and here's why: I was actually thinking about this recently, when there was an accidental quad rosette first gen jag born. I think having one impassable buffer day helps deal with bugs, errors and fallout. Take this jag situation for example: once mods found out, they reverted the jag to the typical 1 slot of phantom rosette, and removed the other rosettes. If this player had aged up this jag, sold heats to 4 different players, and thus spread the genes around - it would be MUCH harder to control fallout of bugs and issues. They'd have to either take the cubs/jags from the players who purchased (which feels wildly unfair), or just let it slide despite it clearly being an error...which is unfair to other players. This kind of thing feels important for game balancing and maintaining certain goals/standards! I definitely understand the appeal of wanting to bypass - but I don't think waiting one less day is worth giving up that security of code and game expectations. 2 players like this post! Like? Hi! Late reply since I don't roll this account. That actually - believe it or not - is a common bug with hybrids on launch! There was an issue with leopons when they were first implemented, including a Leopon I owned, and the mods did just that; wiped the resulting cubs of their markings *unless* they had been sold already, in which they let the owners keep the markings. My leopon was a raffle winning, and so since I didn't have her on my account yet, she had her extra rosettes wiped down to just mottled. The mods know how to handle situations like that when they arise, and they expect issues to happen. One day does not make as much of a difference as you think it does, since it often takes them more time than that to even identify an issue to begin with if it isn't directly forwarded to them. 0 players like this post!
