PLEASE DO NOT TALK ABOUT ANYTHING HERE, THIS IS FOR DESCRIPTIONS OF DEITIES ONLY, EVERY REPLY WILL NOTIFY A MODERATOR. IF YOU WILL REPLY WITH SOMETHING ELSE, THIS WILL BE TREATED AS SPAM. Deities are now PLAYABLE characters. You may only play your own that you created, but other "mortal" characters can still receive visions regardless if you RP sending visions etc with your deity. Deities are NOT able to physically interact with the living, they can haunt dreams, assist in healing/protection (dependent upon what they are the deity of), and leave messages in the forms of visions, leaves, feathers, etc. Name: Deity of: (ex. death or rivers) ((Age:)) (how long they have been worshipped IF known) Gender: (if applicable) Ways to Worship: Rituals: Realm/Domain: (basically where the deity resides when not wandering around the mortal realm. Name: Katsani Goddess/Deity of: Hunting, Fear, and Carnage Gender: Usually appears female Ways to Worship: Offering bones, pelts, trophies from past kills, and dying critters Rituals: She does not care when they are done, only that the prey is still alive and chased to her alter before being killed in the most gruesome of fashions. The more bloodthirsty the killer, the greater her favor. Realm/Domain: Her realm is a wide open Savannah with copses of trees scattered throughout it. The ground is muddy from all the blood spilled and the trees have no bark from the claws of those who climb them in hope of safety. Everyone within her domain is starved and driven mad by the ever present rattling of Calliope's tail- which induces bloodlust in all who hear it. They hunt anything that moves. The souls that end up here usually have hunted others without remorse or led battles without causes, only interested in how much blood they could force their opponent to shed. As long as you are here to hunt, you are welcome with Katsani's realm. Backstory: Born long before the prides were even thought about, Katsani grew up with a different name and with different morales. However, she was caught by hunters and brutally mutilated before she escaped. She tried to run for her life, finally learning what prey felt when she hunted. She never made it and died only a few steps from the freedom she hoped her pride would afford her. Katsani does not remember how she became what she is now, only that she never wants to be the prey again. During the great hunger, Katsani was far more active and powerful as then everyone was afraid of being hunted and hunting each other. During this time, she met up with a snake deity who seemed to enjoy the carnage as much as she did. Ever since, the two have been near inseparable and Katsani has taken to calling the snake Calliope. 0 players like this post! Like? Name: Luanne Deity of: Marshes and bog lands, also said to protect those escaping from abuse Ways to Worship: Offerings that Luanne is said to accept include; frogs, droplets of blood in murky water, and burying a reminder of a past you would rather forget in the mud of a marsh or bog. Rituals: Travelers oftentimes call upon the deity when they are crossing marshlands and are unsure of the security of the ground and the predators around them. It is said that she will grant safe passage through bogs or marshes to those who have appeased her. Those in abusive relationships- be they familial, mateships, friends, or other- will pray to her for the strength needed to escape the toxic relationships. Realm/Domain: A quiet marshland full of croaking frogs and gorgeous flowers. Little blue wisps dance along the surface of the water and are energetic and friendly. They love to play hide and seek. The souls who find themselves here usually need help learning to love themselves, and Luanne is more than happy to help provide the necessary environment to overcome their traumas. Her realm is open to any and all who may wish to enter, she really does not mind. Backstory: It is said that she was once a regular lioness, but she was in a horrid and abusive relationship. One day, Luanne tried to run away, but wound up being caught by her mate- who proceeded to drown her within a bog. Legend has it, she rose that very night as a spirit and destroyed the lion who had abused and killed her. Supposedly, she was soon granted status as a goddess as, even with just the powers of a spirit, she did her best to protect and fight for those in similar situations to herself. Her pelt is forever stained with algae and mud from where she was murdered, and the chains are thought to be symbolic of how her mate had tricked her into loving him before revealing his true nature- making it harder for her to leave. Name: Atia ( Ah- Tea- Ah) Gender: Female Age: Appears as a young cub but has been around for centuries among clans and prides. *warning mentions stillbirths and dead cubs as well as gore* Deity of: Youth, birth, Dead cubs, Dead Adlos, As well as fertility. It's said she guides killed or still born cubs to a place where they don't ever have to grow up and are taken care of. Ways to worship: Crushing baby teeth on an alter, soaking patches of cub fur in water and then burying it, Crushing Cotton root bark on an alter, leaving either- Shedded Cub claws, Teeth, Whiskers, Tail tufts, and or play things- it's said she very much likes feathers of all kinds. Rituals: It's said that to make an altar to the young goddess you must find a large flat stone- wide enough to hold offerings in the shade of a tree that splits in two different ways. Then to officiate the altar, you must claw her name into the tree just above the flat stone. Its said when taking a cub to the afterlife- she will appear as a warm gust of fresh wind- taking the cubs dying breath inside her and guiding them to their new home. Sometimes the dead cub can appear to the guardians as a ghostly figure before being taken. Some say they also can here her giggling and laughing when she comes around- she's also known for leaving pretty feathers wherever she goes to let those living know she was there. However- when haunting a lion, the cursed may begin to see a lot of carrion as well as vulture feathers, or vultures themselves- circling around seemingly nothing. Followers of hers believe that if you worship her in the ways stated above while you or your lioness are pregnant she will cast good fortune down upon your next litter. You may leave a general sacrifice from the things stated above- but you can also offer these specific things if you are wishing for a certain kind of fortune Mution sacrfices- Overgrown Fur: A hairball (lol) Achromia and Melanism: And albino feather for Ach or a lump of coal For mel Primals of all kinds: A primal fang must be left Piebalds and patches: A cats eye gem must be left for patches and an albino feather must be left for piebalds Tail-less, folded ears, or anything overgrown: The horn of a rino- (or chipped piece of a rino) Dwarfism: A gerbil carcus stuffed with scarab Beetle wings. Death causing mutations: Nothing- Atia will never wish a mutation such as that on a litter Fetility and health Sacrfices- No Still borns: Opal Dust Big litter: 5 Cub claws Healthy litter: A dream root Strong litter: Honeycomb All girls: A great tit/ great tit beak or feather All boys: A red cock/ Red cock feather or beak Pretty coats: 5 tufts of cub fur or one tuft of fur from whoever has the coat you'd like your litter to inherit Long lasting youth for adults and the elderly: the lions whisker dipped in Argan oil The curse of the youth sacrifice: This sacrifice is rather hard to perform as Atia is difficult to summon when it comes to getting revenge on the fall of cubs. This sacrifice will allow Atia to haunt whomever has been cursed by the alter. She will stalk the aflicted with visions of the cubs they murdered- or nightmares of gruesome scenes inflicted on them by the horrfiying looking ghosts of cubs. This sacrifice is only known by shamans and very few healers and priests. It's said that if this curse is misused- Atia will curse the lionesses in your clan to give birth to sick cubs.. A payment for wasting her time- as she loves new friends above all else. The sacrifice must go as follows: *warning- gore* Take a cub that was killed at the paws of the abuser- then- rid the body of all insides. Stuff feathers, Argan oil, Cub teeth, Cub whiskers, And Cub claws into the empty body. Sew the body up and bury it near the altar. Wait 2 days- if you come back to see an Iris flower has grown... She'll begin the haunt. If not- she does not see the blamed lion as worthy of haunting- and will instead inflict illness on the next litter of cubs the pride has. *WARNING blood/ spooky imagery* Her haunting form appears as such: However- Atia can still haunt the dreams of a certain lion if enough cubs die at their hands. As they often tell her who killed them. But- if there is no altar she can not perform nightmares or cast misfortune upon them- only.. creep them out sorta. It's also custom among prides to place dead cubs on her altar- surrounded by toys and other things they might have wanted to go with them to the afterlife. The parents of the said cub (or guardians) will then each give the dead cub a nuzzle or kiss- before letting the scavengers of the pridelands eat the body. The altar is not to be used until only the cub's bones remain. Nobody may visit or pray to Atia as this is happening either- aside from the cubs guardians/ friends. Once only the bones remain- they are to be ground up into dust, and tossed into the wind, the altar is to be cleaned by a priest or healer. It may then be used again by all. Backstory: It's believed that Atia was killed as a cub- by her mother for having undesired markings. She was left to rot in the hot sun and eaten by vultures. It's said that some cubs can see her- and even play with her from time to time. Very few have said that they can even talk to the tigon cub. She's said to be mischievous but kind and pleasant. One cub in particular explained how he was whisked away to her afterlife in a dream. She asked the cub to spread her name among the living- saying that she was lonely and wanted to guide young souls to her play place. She gave him the rituals and sacrifices she'd need to do favors for them. After the first cub was sacrificed to her- she rewarded the prides cubs with an abundance of play things and juicy prey. It was like a miracle Perhaps she can bring one to you and your cubs as well? Domain: Atia's Domain is a very large open area- with floors of clouds. There seem to be different dens and tunnels made of glass and feathers. Each den has something different inside it- some containing food, others containing pets, and many containing toys and other things. She has a special den she calls her office- in which she sometimes meets with other deities. She also has a big book full of the cubs in her afterlife- which state their name, gender, reason for death, and so on. Her main den is filled with floating feathers and vultures- who stand over her next like a pair of guards. Afterlife: Her afterlife is a cub's paradise- with plenty of cubs to play with- large animals to ride, toys, food, fluffy soft nests and dens, as well as a few broodmothers. Parents of the cubs may visit here as well as take their cubs to their afterlife permanently. This place is also used as a drop off for cubs of souls- and is often called the daycare. Other: Close with Kivuli, dosen't pay much mind to any of the other gods 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 21/06/22 @ 14:13:09 by Frostblight (#282750) |

Name: Kivuli Deity of: Untimely/Sudden death, especially drowning and murder. Also associated with the cold weather in December and shadows Age: Ageless Gender: None, but usually referred to with he/him pronouns Ways to Worship: Altar items include broken bones, shattered gems, holly and dead branches Rituals: Leaving offerings where death has occurred. Roaring to "call" him to retrieve the soul of someone who died suddenly. Lions will also sometimes spread shiny stones around the dens of those going through hard times, in the hope that the lights from the stones will keep Kivuli away. To attempt to curse someone with him, leave the meat of prey that has been drowned or recently killed along with fur from the one you wish the demise of in the shade of a tree or stone. Leave drowned prey if you wish them to drown, bloodied prey if you wish them murdered. Backstory: Death's second cub was born on a freezing cold night. He carries the cold and shadow with him, wherever he goes. He tends to keep to himself and prefers the dark and quiet. Growing up he was enthralled by stories of his parents. He used to dream of finding a mate of his own some day, but he gave up on that a long time ago. Other: He is one of the children of the God of Death, and frequently visits with his older brother. Due to the mortals' hatred and fear of him, he often needs cheering up. He doesn't smile much, except when his brother or Atia is around. 0 players like this post! Like? Name: Israthel Age: Unknown Deity of: Secrets, half-truths, and rumors. Ways to Worship: Offering the tongue of a liar or traitor, the heart of a deceiver, the lungs of a gossiper, or the claws of someone who speaks only in half-truths. It is said you can also lay a relic of a secret you have 'killed' upon her altar to forcibly banish it from ever being found out (so long as she accepts the offer). Rituals: Chanting her name while throwing bones after questioning someone's loyalty and honesty can help determine if they are telling the truth. This must be done over a clump of the lion in question's fur or some of their blood. It has to be fresh. She is often invoked during times of unrest within prides and families as they try to solve rumors and find who is spreading them. This must be done by having the essence of the rumor sacrificed to her. For example, if the rumor is of someone's eating habits- a days worth of food must be left upon her altar for her to feast on. If you are questioning a rumor about someone's plans, this can be tougher. One way to do this is if the rumor is about rebellion you must slice open the paws of the royal family to bleed upon her altar until it overflows. The essence of a rumor can occasionally be difficult to suss out and thus this particular use of Israthel is only used in dire situations and often is not even known by more recent prides. Israthel's altar must be somewhere hidden from prying eyes and hard to get to. It should be made with large stones, the top one having a bowl like shape to it, and these stones must be laid while whispering secrets to lure Israthel to it. If she is not called to the altar prior to it being completed, she will not respond to any offerings made upon it. Realm/Domain: A maze of hidden passages and puddles of dark liquid across the floors. There is only the light from some glowworms who squirm along the roof of the dripping caverns. Whispers can constantly be heard but never understood. Every sound echoes heavily and lasts far longer than it should. The souls who wind up here are very few and usually only come to Israthel's domain because they were seekers of the truth with no regard for the consequences. Israthel prefers no one enter her domain, but has been known to grant rare audiences with a select few deities. Maleficia is banned. Backstory: Israthel is an ancient deity, not known by many prides in this age. Little is known about the lore and legend behind her creation, but is is said that her lips were stitched together after she had spread a rumor that ended the life of her pride's current queen. When it was discovered that Israthel was the cause of the queen's death, the pride turned against her and forced her into a pit. They then called upon the primates for help punishing her in a way that suited her crime. The baboons tugged upon her ears, stretching them to catch even the smallest of whispers, while the spider monkeys used their sharp teeth to puncture through her lips and threaded through this with hair from a horse's mane. This took many days to complete to the pride's satisfaction, for the queen had been beloved by them all. But when they were done, Israthel's eyes were stained red and black from her pain and crime. Her fur had began to be corrupted as well, tainted by the murder she had caused. Now, Israthel is cursed to hear every secret, every rumor and every half-truth for all eternity. But she cannot spread them nor share them as she cannot speak. Other: - She is a huge gossip and is slowly teaching herself how to get around not speaking - She neither confirms nor denies the legend of her creation, but it is a touchy subject 0 players like this post! Name: Maleficia Deity of: Mischief, Mayhem, and Paranoia Age: Unknown Gender: prefers he/him pronouns Ways to worship: Sprigs of snakeweed wrapped in tail tufts and tied to a stone then sunk into a body of moving water. Hyena fur sprinkled on magpie feathers and left to blow away. Playing pranks or causing confusion. Rituals: Maleficia does quite have any set rituals, many prides make them up if they chose to worship this deity and usually no two rituals are the same. While other deities are picky about the time, place, and offerings of rituals- Maleficia does not appear to be the same as he responds to almost all rituals done in his name. Realm/Domain: It's just chaos. Pure chaos as everyone is paranoid and freaking out over the sound of a twig snapping. It is PTSD and night terrors rolled up together and surrounded by 'pranks' that go too far and hyenas that won't stop laughing no matter how many times you claw them to pieces. Only the souls of those who caused mass hysteria end up here. This is a realm of hell. Maleficia doesn't give a rats ass about who enters his domain. But they better be prepared for mass feelings of paranoia and fear. Backstory: It is said Maleficia came into being when the first hyena laughed. He is usually seen with at least one accompanying him as they are gaurenteed to at least chuckle at his little tricks. He will also occasionally appear as a cub in visions, but will always have his tell-tale mane. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 07/07/22 @ 19:23:44 by Mutated Mongoose|They/Them (#258174) |

Name: Somnus Age: The eldest of all the deities, was here since the very beginning Deity of: Eternal Sleep, Death in all forms Gender: They/Them exclusively Ways to Worship: Somnus supposedly accepts offerings of a cubs first lost tooth, a trophy from a first kill, a lock of fur from someone loved, nearly anything that is a part of an important life milestone. Rituals: Their altar is usually made from a rotting tree trunk or some other dead wood. Most prides say that having an altar that is open to the sky is the best choice, though no one really knows the truth. Prides who do worship death, which is not many, tend to take the recently dead and lay them to rest on the altar. Much like how some will do with cubs for Atia. It is said to be a strange thing to watch, as the body there is covered in thick vines that quickly wither and die, leaving behind only a single white lotus flower. The whole process takes about three days in entirety. Some people confuse Somnus with their second son- Kivuli and will try to lay out shiny stones to keep them away from the doors of the elderly. Realm/Domain: A never ending maze that is constantly shifting. The center is their throne room, a throne upon a pedastal sits in the center. Vines that are always flowering and withering away are twined around the cold stone of the throne. Boiling water falls on either side of the throne and creates almost a moat around the path to Somnus' throne. All souls end up here first. Somnus organizes them and sends them on their way. The souls that remain within their domain are often not suited for any other after realm and prefer to stay dead. Somnus hates when anyone enters their domain without announcing themselves first and getting confirmation that they are allowed in. Maleficia is banned from Somnus' realm. He knows what he did. Backstory: Somnus had, once in their very long life, fallen in love with a mortal lioness. They were lively and carefree and did not fear death as so many others did. Somnus was overjoyed when they realized that she could see them as well, for she had been gifted with The Sight. After a few years of flirting, the two fell in loved. She gave birth to one cub at first, but soon one became two. However, during the birth of the second cub, the lioness died. The legends differ here- some saying the cubs were born as gods and others saying demi-gods. A few claim that Somnus and the FateWeaver worked together to make the two cubs into true gods once they finished their mortal lives, others say the FateWeaver would never alter the threads in such a fashion. No one can seem to agree. What is known, however, is that Somnus leaves most of the soul collecting to their two sons and stays within the after realm, trying to find their long lost mate without the maze that awaits us all. Name: Pethos ( Peh- Th- Ous) Appearance: Age: Died at 9 and a half years old- has been a god for only a few decades now, so not many know of him nor does he have many altars. Mortal form: Deity of: Love, heartbreak, Ego, Pride, Vanity and beauty Alter instructions: To make an Altar to Pethos- one has to take the heart of a zebra, a lion scrotum and the wing of a great tit- and bath them in flowing water. Once that's done- You must take the mane of a black stallion and tie it round each object. Hang these objects from a tree near the pride- then paint a heart on the tree with any sort of paint or blood. When making sacrifices- hang them from branches of the tree. Ways to Worship: Pethos accepts Zebra hearts, any kind of scrotum, Black Stallions, Pretty gems, And anything reflective. Rituals: Above all else Pethos loves to watch displays of affection near his altar. Grooming, Snuggling, Kisses, banter, and mushy stuff is his favorite. It's said if you do this at least once a month- your relationship will thrive. Aside from this you can also simply sacrifice anything mentioned above. Sometimes sparring tournaments are held near his altar- as a display of pride. Whoever wins this fight will spend the night at his altar- telling him their achievements and goals. This may grant the victor good luck when fighting. If you wish to heal from a heartbreak- many will go to Pethos Altar with memories of somebody loved and talk to him. Many say while it does not heal them of their grief- it feels as if Pethos is there to comfort them, and often they leave with a lighter heart than before. Backstory: Pethos was a very handsome lion in his mortal days- he swooned and bewitched Lions and Lionesses of all kinds. But he was also very self centered and egotistical. Often thinking himself too good for his admirers. He liked to play with people's hearts and lead them on, only to get bored of them the next day. He was known for being very strong as well which is why not many ever dared to challenge him. That was until one day a rugged Lion caught his eye like nobody else. He flirted and bantered with him to no avail- he seemed not only disinterested, but annoyed by the Lion. Pethos was utterly heartbroken- and spent the last of his days wallowing and crying at his own reflection, refusing to eat or drink due to how utterly shattered he felt. He soon withered away- being reborn as A god. Domain: Pethos domain is a big oasis- filled with stunning sights and lions. There are pleanty of places to lounge or cuddle, as well as places to swim. He himself rests in the highest den- next to a waterfall thats tinted pink. His den is covered with flowers and gems- and is lined with soft moss and vines inside. Afterlife: None Other: Pethos goes By he/him pronouns and is Pansexual as well as Poly. He likes to pine and swoon over mortal lions and follow them around till he grows bored of them. Somtimes this will last a day- other times it will last centuries. He becomes enamored with them. As for other gods- he dosen't find them as exciting, but still teases them from time to time if he wishes to piss them off. He's still very vain and cocky- despite the fact that he's the god of love. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 21/06/22 @ 21:39:11 by Frostblight (#282750) |

Name: Mwanga Deity of: Old age, terminal illness, peaceful passing, death by old age or illness. Age: Death's First Son, the older of the two brothers. His age is not known for sure. Gender: Genderless, but often referred to as male Ways to Worship: Gathering around a relative, providing support as they pass. Praying to him for safe passage to the afterlife, praying he can "outrun" his brother Rituals: Leaving shiny stones to deter his brother and bring him instead, Leaving offerings of fruit when someone is nearing the end of their life. When someone is ill, old, or suffering and is afraid to move on, they will call to him for comfort. He has no specific way to be summoned. He comes when it is time, not a moment sooner or later. Altars to him include unbroken bones, gems (especially jasper and fire opal), and sandstone Backstory: Death's First Son, beloved for bringing peaceful passage to the afterlife. He took care of his brother whenever Somnus went off to look for their mother in the afterlife. He still carries the hope that they will find her someday. Other: He and his brother are close, but rarely get a chance to see one another. Still, they try to make time to visit with one another. Neither of them is particularly chatty, but they enjoy a sort of amicable silence with one another. He doesn't care for Maleficia or Katsani, believing death should come as peacefully as possible. He also doesn't appreciate how some of the other gods and mortals treat his little brother. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 28/06/22 @ 00:18:47 by Rayb1rd [G4 Ivory Spotted] (#224266) |

Appearance: (link here until I get the picture) Name: Abaddon Deity of: war, strength, violence and vengeance ((Age:)) 49-50 yrs? Gender: he/him Ways to Worship: offer meat, skulls, the heart, teeth or claws of predators, Rituals: bringing a predator (falcon, hyena, cheetah, leopard. Even another lion 0-0 ) to his alter alive and kill it there and leave the heart, skull and pelt for him. ((Backstory:)) He was born into a clan that valued strength over all, born as a heir to his pride he had high expectations, but his two brothers wanted his spot on the throne. When that time came he took the throne, having won many battles against his brothers. Though the night of no moon he went for a walk, he was bitten by a snake his brothers had placed on his walking path. Woozy with venom his brothers attacked him at once, killing him and leaving his mutilated body in the darkness of the cold night. Unsure of how he became a diety, all he claims to remember is the feeling of burning before awaking in a place unknown to him. ‘Alive’ again Other: (anything you feel could be useful to know, such as relationships within the forming pantheon and etc) ——————- Appearance(s): (link here until I get the picture) Name: Igashu Deity of: discovery, self love and sexuality ((Age:)) (??????) Gender: genderfluid (it varies as they change appearance) Ways to Worship: leave colorful feathers, rocks, items, and birds at their alter. Eyes are also welcome Rituals: bring a parrot or peacock or colorful bird to the alter, pluck a single feather and let the bird go. Set the feather down and bury it with sand. ((Backstory:)) Their start was a rough one, born in a dry season’s inferno, their siblings were not unscathed by the blaze, frightened and burned. They were outcasts for their first year of life. They saw one of their siblings die by the jaws of another lion at the age of one. Accepted into a pride with their mother they were quiet but would be friendly. But thoughts flooded their mind that only they could answer. They questioned themselves and their mind. And for that they were persecuted and outcasted. Forced to labor a journey their weary paws were never meant to walk. Through their walk, through marsh and hills, they found themselves, their identity and their peace of mind. But by the time they figured themselves out they had wandered themselves far too deep into a desert to turn back. They died in the sands, tanned by the sun, but content in themselves. Upon death they pleaded with those who reaped their soul, wanting to help those who had the same fate. Wanting to find their self love and help those in need.
