Q: How long have you had stat kings for?

A: I've had stat kings for well over a year now, and I started raising submales as stat kings nearly 3 years ago, starting in 2020. However, that was an accident at first!


Q: Why should I trust your advice on statting?

A: For those who don't know me already, you might not be inclined to take my advice right away, which I totally understand. However, I know what I'm doing when it comes to statting. I'm currently on my fourth stat king. My king Asterus was able to pass 10.5k stats as G1 lion - I patrolled him myself and raised his stats as king all on my own, never freezing the account. He was one of LD's highest statted kings, and I believe only the third G1 king to pass 10k stats. He was all over the Leaderboards in his time. Statting is basically second nature to me at this point. I'm very good at what I do.


Q: Why breed for stats?

A: Having higher stats makes it easier to beat NPCs in explore, meaning that you will win more battles on average (which in some months, means more event currency!). You'll still lose here and there, but it happens a lot less with higher stats, especially once you get the battle strategies down. Other than that, it's quite satisfying to see your cubs born with 1000+ stats. At least I think it is, anyway! Edit: I recently managed to use all of my statting expertise to breed what I believe is the first G2 cub with 2k+ stats in the game. You can really do some amazing things if you put your mind to it!


Q: Why should I care about stats?

A: No reason at all! I like them because I find raising a stat king to be very satisfying and I like seeing my boy on the LBs. I also like that you have more control over stats than breeding for markings or bases, since I always feel like RNG is out to get me - I'm sure many of you can relate! You certainly do not have to care about stats at all. If you do happen to care, feel free to join the clan and learn more about them! The cool thing about LD is that there are lots of ways to play the game, and none of them are wrong.


Q: Why do most statters freeze their accounts?

A: Lions on LD have limited lifespans and a lot of resources go into stat kings as submales and as kings to give them their amazing stats. Having them live for only 8 years as king is sad in a way, and to some, could even be considered a waste. It also gives players time to collect resources for their stat king on their other account for the days that they roll over. Freezer accounts can also aim for much higher stats than those that roll regularly.


Q: Do you have to freeze your account to have a stat king?

A: No, you do not! It is a lot of work to roll regularly and have a stat king, but it is totally doable! Just don't expect 40k stats on a daily rolling king. 10k is more manageable, but you can definitely achieve higher than that with the right knowhow and dedication.
