-LOCKED - July Event Adjustments 2.0

After further review and reflecting on input from the previous news post, we've made some additional adjustments to the July event.

* The cost of steps in Celestial Explore has been reduced from 5 Meteorite Shards per step to 3 Meteorite Shards per step.
* The Meteorite Shard output has been lowered slightly in Celestial Explore - previously it was 5 to 10 Meteorite Shards, it is now 4 to 8 Meteorite Shards.
* The "Stun" trait has been removed from all regular Celestial Explore enemies.

These changes have been made rapidly to balance the event as much as possible for players. We appreciate your patience and feedback.

I'd have loved to see a reset of purchases for those who have abused the buggy first day. But I guess its far too late for that.

This will definitely further harm the economy. Seeing as a select few have now probalby tons of valuable items they can scrape GB off other users.

GamingPanda, actually no, not so - the economy is fine. Just the specific items got a bit devalued - with many people getting several of them and offering them for sale, they started selling them for cheaper. Apps that used to go for 15GB last year now go for 5GB - not scraping GB off anyone, and priced will certainly stabilise over time, as applicators are usable objects and the amount of them is subject to lowering naturally, as more and more are used. For marking apps, the rise back to former values will be quick - they're random applicators, meaning people will need to be using several before getting a specific marking they want.

Such price fluctuations are pretty normal and sometimes even happen in other events - for instance, in february one year the buffalo scrotums went for as low as 5 GB, next year people only let go of their for 10 or even 15 GB! It depends on many factors. And the prices always even out in the end. So this temporary increase of some of July items in the market is not too bad. It will even out as the applicators are used up!

SO the biggest "lasting" effect of the extra farmed axion cores will be the fact that applicators wont rise above 30-40 GB like they did last years, but will likely cap at something like 20 GB in their highest, until next July.

Just want to comment again now that I’ve been exploring a lot more and reiterate my thoughts

3 is definitely more balanced than 5 or 2, think it’s the perfect happy medium we were looking for! Some specific non-boss enemies are still a bit OP and I still actively avoid, but overall battles are MUCH more tolerable and realistically winnable now which makes the experience a lot more fun and less frustrating! :) And shard drop rates in regular explore have finally started picking up for me the past few days (like many others I found myself going through bar after bar only to get like 10-20 shards maximum even after the boost was announced) and I’m now able to get a decent amount of shards that way, so there’s also less frustration in that regard which is nice!

I do want to bring up the energy loss aspect from battles in celestial explore. It makes logical sense (sure the lion would probably be tired after the fight) but it doesn’t really make practical sense in terms of gameplay mechanics imo. You don’t use regular energy to do the celestial explore, and you can still participate in celestial battles when you have 0 energy (heck I ALWAYS make sure I have 0 energy when I do the celestial explore just so I don’t waste it on battles), so if people are already making sure they dont have energy to lose then it doesn’t really make sense for the battles to even cost energy in the first place, yknow? And if celestial explore gives you a bit of energy via an encounter, you can just go to regular explore and spend it, then come back and do more battles lol. So I do think that the energy loss from battles should be removed or at the very least revised/rethought.

I also did just come across a celestial explore encounter (not sure which one, can’t remember the wording on it) where I was able to receive 5 SB even though I have like 30k SB tucked away and therefore shouldn’t be receiving SB from explore anymore, so there might be some double-checking that needs done on those encounters to make sure it’s consistent! Unless I’ve missed something and you’re supposed to still be able to get SB a from celestial explore? But I haven’t been getting any from battles so I don’t think that’s the case lol

But other than that, I don’t think I have any real issues or complaints, I think the LioDen crew has done a great job so far! :)

Editing this rq to elaborate on the OP enemy. The radioactive snake REALLY needs to be nerfed. It’s venomous AND a strangler. And the best way (at least from what I’ve heard and experienced in battle) to avoid it biting you for 35-49 damage is to grab it. But anytime I grab a strangler enemy I’m unable to hit it 9/10 times because it seems (in my experience) that the battle cannot differentiate between them grabbing me and me grabbing them. I did mention that specific issue in a previous comment too. But so with those 2 mechanics in place for that one enemy, it makes it near impossible to beat that one particularly because if you grab it you can’t hit it, but if you don’t grab it you get 2 shotted by its venom attacks. I’d say the radioactive snake REALLY needs to be reevaluated and changed so that it only has ONE of the traits rather than both. Either that, or make the venom aspect only do a LITTLE bit of extra damage like maybe 2-4. Because at this point I just avoid the battle with it entirely because I know I’m going to lose and I’d rather not waste my time lol

If you've gained SB from an encounter despite having 5000+ SB on your account, please report the encounter that you earned SB from to the Bug Board so our coders can look into this!

I’m not exactly sure how to report the encounter, do I have to find it again in celestial explore? I cant find it in my user log for some reason, but the +5 SB is noted in my SB log. I cant see any way to report it from there though. Should I just open a ticket or something?

I see some of your points certainly but it still feels unfair that some ppl got a huge financial and decor boost from farming.

Yes prices will even out but those who spent more time are exploited because they did not farm can now only sell their items for less. - Short and Mid term the "fair" players have a disatvantage. Game economy is npt so much money but the time and effort a player has to spend to get to the same place as aonther player.
