hello! i'm new to lioden, and i'm trying to figure out the best way to get a primal through studs. i understand the basics, and i have a few items: pennyroyal, cotton root bark, and also a red cock. i just don't get when the best time to use them is, and if i should use them in combination with each other. for example, if i use a crb on a lioness and stud her to a primal, does that affect my chances of getting primal cubs? and if i combine the crb with pennyroyal, how does that affect my chances...? i'm just quite confused ahh :') 0 players like this post! Hi CRB does not raise your chances of getting a primal, only of getting a random mutation. I think it actually slightly lowers the chance of getting a primal, as the crb chance "rolls first" so if the crb triggers and gives you a cub with a random mutation, that's one less chance of it being primal. Pennyroyal does not raise your chance of getting a primal. It raises the chance that if you do get a primal, it will be a variation (felis or smilus) instead of a regular primal. I think red cock only helps if you are trying specifically for primal smilus, as that's a male only mutation. Currently there aren't any items that raise the chance of getting a primal, its just luck. The only exception is primal (ferus), in that case, pennyroyal will raise the chance of the mutation passing, but only if both parents are ferus. ferus is also the only primal mute that can be passed from the mother, as well as the father. 0 players like this post! Dexil_D100, correct, just luck and trying many times is all you do to try and get a primal cub. The chance is small, but there's no real way of increasing it other than trying again and again. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 05/03/24 @ 14:16:26 by Mad Hyena (#29080) |

@Dexill Primal is a genetic mutation. I am not sure precisely how likely it is to pass, but the pass rate is fairly high, similar to that of piebald and patch variations. Edit: my bad. I didn't notice that you've already received an answer. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 05/03/24 @ 16:00:17 by TheClassCalico (#88888) |

So you don’t actually need anything other than luck to try and breed a primal? I just rented a stud primal for my regular lioness, how are my chances? 0 players like this post! Like? |
