I feel bad for even saying this because it's such a meaningful event. It's honestly one of the most tragic and heartwrenching events in the best possible way. But, it leaves something to be desired. If the March event got even half as many features as the July event has, there would be so many more players actually enthused and excited about playing the game and learning more about what's actually happening with poachers. This is already such a wonderful community and personally March is one of my favorite times to be on the site and interacting with people because there's an air of "the world is fucked" and it really brings people together. This isn't necessarily me voicing my suggestion to fix it - more me addressing a community concern - but please feel free to post your suggestions below this ! I will more than happily edit them onto this post. |

@Rev It's not a storyline problem - the March event is such a good premise (Poachers bad argh) but the execution just falls flat. Oooo, we killed enough poachers so we unlocked a shop! ,,, With a few apps in it. Doh. Compared to the amount of features July has (Celestial Raffles, Storyline with 3 sides, Celestial Explore, 2 Different Shops, etc) it feels like there was so much more it could've been, especially considering the meaning behind it. 0 players like this post! I understand, but the June/July/August turnover is intense. Two story heavy events with heavy grinding (cuz the june/july bases are gorgeous) and then the maneater grind is a lot, I feel like January is really easy on the soul, Feb gets a little intense, but then April is just a cute story about rabbits- The beginning of the year gets a little boring, I feel like it could use some flavour. 0 players like this post! April could be spiced up, sure, but I look forward to skipping days in March after Feb, and I know I’m not the only one. Given February is the most money making month of the year on site, it’s easily the most intense in terms of grinding. 0 players like this post! Honestly I agree with @mau. February is really tiring if you want a profit, the laidback air of the March event is a much appreciated break. But I also think an extra feature or two could spice it up for those who are still active. I love features like this but I'm hesitant to suggest a lioness prize like @lilpeep since that's April's big draw, maybe a raffle for exclusive items or some extra stat/EXP offers like what the Peddler has right now in August. At any rate though I don't think this upcoming March we're going to be bored, since in the latest news they announced that special anniversary event. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I suppose in my perspective, I kind of see that as the point for it. I understand your point, but the way that I view it is less of something that these virtual lions can thoroughly vanquish on their own, the purpose of it is to raise awareness for us humans beyond the screen to do something about it. In that sense, I don't think a storyline with multiple perspectives or multiple shops could help that event achieve its goal of raising awareness. I also agree that a more relaxed month after February is very much needed, and I wouldn't be interested in a constant rush of events. I would support maybe a few exclusive items, or the addition of stat/EXP items like Vinn mentioned, but I don't think we need much more oomph. Too much of it makes for a very exhausting year if you want to be involved in LD. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support for sure. I think part of the problem with the March app is that currency is readily available and there's nothing but apps, so they become really cheap - and stay cheap. It doesn't leave people interested either. @Vinn There could be a stat feature where we send adols to "watch out for poachers." I'd say protect rhinos etc, but it doesn't really tie in with the fact that we also readily hunt the rhinos and elephant calves  0 players like this post! I also personally feel like the poacher chase game is a bit redundant there. Fire escape makes sense but poacher chase feels like a bit of a desperate add on to give us more to do when currency is already well available and not really needed, and you never catch the poachers anyway. 0 players like this post! A possible fix to this is something small, but if you get into it you can gain a lot. They don't necessarily need to add a whole other storyline/grinding fest. What I suggest is not a game, but a unique slot machine. Once its unlocked, you can get certain things. One obvious item would be a human liver, as it just makes sense. The slot machine would let players who like that mechanic have a chance to get more unique items than usual, and use those tokens they gained from the poachers, but people don't have to worry, because they're not missing an entire event. 0 players like this post!
