Sadly my mom got a dog. And well the cat hatted the idea so he started peeing in my parents room then was kicked out and started peeing in my room. The thing is he's my cat and getting rid of the dog would most likley make my cat stop since he started doing because he hated the dog. Also the dog is hyper, and attacks people randomly play biting and shoving. My parents excuse is it's there dog and if they get rid of the dog he might not stop the habit, he use to have a pretty bad habit with peeing on paper and other things when we got him which have all been eventually gotten rid of.

I hate when things like that happens. The cat was fine until a dog came into the picture. It's unfair for the cat to leave if the dog is causing the problems. Plus the cat has been living there for awhile when the dog hasn't. It doesn't matter who's dog it is, if it caused the problems and the problems aren't getting solved, then the dog needs to go, but the cat stays.

I agree. I love dogs, but the whole mindset that “Oh, this cat will definitely get along with this dog with no repercussions whatsoever” is extremely naïve and short-sighted.

Yea, how my mother sees it as the cat started peeing and the dog did nothing to it so we should get rid of the cat. Yet the dog chased the cat and terrorizes the cat to the point it tried to kill my cat once and my parents brushed it off -

They saw it happen, and just excused it. I hate the dog since it has jumped on me while I watch tv and then trample me and bite me.
