🌟Cosmos Exploration! 💫

Rules and things to note:

- Payment comes first.

- After you purchase a cat, you may do what you wish with them. Resell it, make a toyhouse for it, whatever. All I ask is that you credit me! Lioden works, you can also credit my discord if needed (imperial_anarchy). I ALSO have a TH account (saop)!

- They're not much of a closed species. They're kind of a cool thing I thought up and decided to make an exploration of.

- If you need to credit me, credit my toyhouse (saop)!

- These are HAND-DRAWN! No bases are used.

- I accept multiple things OTHER than GB as payment! Here's a list:

~ Lions, but only NRLCS/High BO naturals.
~ Decor. I'm very picky with it, but I tend to like pinks, fur extensions and manes, flowers, and veils.
~ Breeding Items. These take PRIORITY. Crunchies above everything else, and other breeding items will be accepted based on their lowest branch worth.

- I'm accepting any suggestions for mutations and whatnot!

- I'm a student, so I'm usually busy with schoolwork 'n studies. Or I'm busy with family. CCs are important to me, so I try to grind them out asap, but it can take a while for me to get them out like we're talking a week+.

INTRODUCTION

Looking upwards, the sky is beautifully clear. Not a cloud in sight.
The perfect setting to walk under the stars and soak in the serene sounds of tonight.

Or so you thought.

Amid some stargazing, you hear bushes rustling. You're out in the open, though, so you figure it's probably just one of the wildlife.
But now you're curious what it could be... A deer? A raccoon? You won't know until you check it out.

Curiosity killed the cat, and you find yourself hesitantly approaching the source of the sound.
A weird feline-like creature pokes its head out of the bushes, and after an intense staredown between the two of you, it speaks.

"..Hello?"

It speaks.

"I'm Jupiter. I'm.. a little lost. Think you could help me? I came from the mountains-- The red ones, and I-"

The what.

Sensing your confusion, the cat elaborates.

"Oh. You don't know? A lot of the areas here have been sort've.. oddly affected. A whole bunch of creatures from space decided to drop down and make some of these odd places their homes, including me. But I... got too adventurous and I got lost."

The cat clears his throat. "Here's a deal. Your kind likes cats, don't they? I'm a cat. I know a couple of other cats of my kind would like to meet a new friend. If you help me back, I'll show you all the places I know of! In exchange, you can give me shiny things. Does that sound good?"

...You DO like cats. Space cats sound even better.
Sure, why not?

What's the worst that can happen?

A Cosmo Cat seems to have opened a shop in this area! They didn't seem to be expecting anyone judging by the look on their face. The feline grumbles.

"Welcome, I guess. My name is Aster, I run this shop. Take a look around. Don't break anything."

The Beach Butterfly
This thing is barely a butterfly... And you thought the beach was the least worrying. Buying this item guarantees a random mutation on your Cosmo Cat. It will stack, but each time it is purchased to be used on one exploration, +5 is added to the fee. Ex. 2 butterflies, 5 for the first, 10 for the next for a total of 15 if it is being used on a singular explore. The price will remain at 5 if it is used on two different explores!

Jupiter's Missing Tooth

You don't know where Aster found this, nor do you want to know. This item guarantees your next Cosmo Cat to be rolled with Vibrant Fur, regardless of where you explore.

Fool's Gold Scorpion Tail

This item is shiny, and it radiates warmth. But it's not real gold... You reckon Aster wouldn't sell something made of gold to you for so cheap. Carrying this item with you on your explorations will guarantee your next Cosmo Cat to be rolled with Pale Fur, regardless of where you explore.

Celestial Nesting Material

This is new.. and comfortable. And shiny.
Aster says this item serves as a very comfy and safe material, usually used in actual Cosmo Cat dens. Maybe it can serve another purpose.
(You NEED this item to breed Cosmo Cats. It is required.

Alula Fruit

This thing has a hard outer layer, but a very watery inner layer.
Aster explains that if you buy this item and use it on your next exploration, you'll be able to attract a Cosmo Cat with the trait you desire...
(or in other words, pick your cat's trait)

Two-Headed Plains Lizard

Uh... What... is it?
This item allows you to freely choose what pupil shape your cat will have (excluding glint/glitter). Anything from round to slit, to hypnotic; it's all your choice!


"I bring in new things now and again, keep your eyes peeled." Aster chirps, watching you exit.

Explore the Scorching Gorge!

You can handle the heat here if it means being able to see the landscape from above. The canyons here are diverse in shape and size, and if you look closely between them, you can see the thick, toxic, pink clouds that drift across the floor. Somehow, it’s perfect Cosmo Cat territory.

10 ! Increased chances of Pale colors!

Explore the Frigid Mountains!

It's so cold up here. The snow is a rather normal white color.. but the mountains themselves are blood red. If you ignore that, and the cold, it's quite beautiful.



You may climb these mountains in search of a Cosmo Cat for 10 ! Increased chance of Overgrown Fur, Vibrant colors!

Explore the Serene Beach!

Of all the places Jupiter had shown you, this one seems the most safe. And possibly the most delightful. You can run through the shore peacefully without the risk of being jumped by weird creatures. The water tastes funny, though. Weirder than saltwater..



Soak in some sun at the beach for 15 ! Exploring here allows for a mutation reroll effect, meaning every cat has 2 chances to get a mutation! And if they already have one on their first roll, they can roll another! Woop!

Explore the Blooming Plains!

This place is empty, but... There's such a peaceful atmosphere to it. The birds are chirping, the wind is blowing... And a bird just swooped down and carried away some poor creature. Oh.


10 ! To explore, you must: Explore 1 time in any location.

Explore Mount. Aphid!

At first, you’re confused as to where this location gets its name from. You see the volcano. You do not see any bugs.
Honestly, it seems more likely any bugs that crawled here would be instantly turned to ash with the heat here. You’d think the stone would be rather cold when you step on it, but no, it’s very hot.
And then you see a couple of large, bug-like creatures in the distance. Every organism here is oddly bug-like. Antennae, many legs, stingers... Maybe it’s time to turn back.



You can explore here for 10 ! But to explore, you must have explored the Scorching Gorge once.

ONGOING EVENTS

The Pit

With all the cats getting riled up and excited for the festive season, a lot of Cosmo Cats host large gatherings. Tonight, cats have gathered in an area rumored to be a mass grave. The sky sets an eerie tone. It’s a dark red hue, both sinister and beautiful.
As the cats get comfortable and start exploring the region and what it has to offer, a large number of screams echo through the plateau.
The ground collapsed.
A large, dark pit has been reopened, swallowing multiple Cosmo Cats along with it.
Concerned bystanders immediately rush towards it, trying to see if maybe they can retrieve the Cosmo Cats who have fallen in.
Instead, they’re met with Cosmo Cats who haven’t fallen in, but rather ones trying to climb out; cats who look decomposed, dog-like, ghostly, and irregular. And they look nothing short of aggressive.
Is this the beginning of the end?

Naturally, while what can only be described as the start of a Cosmo Cat apocalypse begins, three low-tier deities have arrived to nonchalantly investigate this matter.
As if their species isn’t being viciously hunted down by zombie cats and drooling dog cats.
Because of your very good reputation for having helped the other deities, these cats don’t waste any time employing you to help them. No introduction or nothing.
I guess you should pick one to work with before zombie cats take over the region.



The Deities

Lupus



This wolf-like cat glances down at you, unimpressed. “You should leave while you can; leave it up to someone more capable to solve this issue.”
“…”

“So you won’t leave? Okay then. If you’re positive you want to suffer while trying to cleanse this land of the dead, you can help. Just make yourself useful. At the end of the day, we all know who’s going to fix this: me.”

“…Me and you, if you come with me.”

“So, are you in or what?” She adds, trying not to sound awkward.

Revenant



This cat looks like she’s crawled out of the pit herself, with her zombie-like appearance, distinct smell of rot, and stiff stature.
“I don’t see how this is an issue, to be honest.” She says, grooming her fur idly. “A little chaos is what the world needs. So what if this is the start of the apocalypse? Let nature run its course. If anything, I think we should help it expand. What do you say?”

Chicken of the Woods



“…”
This large feline doesn’t speak; they only look at you expectantly. A simple statement declaring that you’ll help fix this mess with them is all that they want. They don’t seem like much of a talker.

For completing each quest, you will receive a special mutation guarantee item from each respective god. Good luck and have fun!

With all this exploring going on, a few cats have caught notice of your shiny beetles. They've taken an interest in these golden beetles. Maybe you could win them over with some beetles?

BREEDING

In case you were curious, Cosmo Cats CAN be bred from time to time!
To breed two Cosmo Cats, all you need is Celestial Nesting Material ! Once you have that, all you've gotta do is tell me what cats you wanna pair, and I'll get right to rolling them!

They can inherit traits from either parent. Occasionally, you can have a cat bred that has a slightly different trait. This is usually only with pupils, though.
If two mutated cats are bred, there's a chance their offspring can inherit both mutations or neither mutation.

Studding is available now and again as well. Once in a while, a Cosmo Cat shows up, eager to spread their traits around!
Co-breeding is allowed as well. You just need permission from the other person.

CCs can make 1-2 cats in standard breeding and 2-4 in co-breeding. Cosmo Cats can be bred once every 10 days (excluding studs that are open as long as they're up).
