As Priahha entered his final years, reaching 15, the yearly plague hit, bringing a new problem.


Presently, the submales were either disinterested in taking over or were directly related to Priahha. It was during this time that a lion adolescent paid a visit. He introduced himself as Aski, explaining that the time for him to leave his birth-pride had come, and he was seeking a pride to take over peacefully. His lineage was royal, a name Priahha and any nearby lion knew as a large powerhouse pride that dealt with things through negotiations and beetles. Priahha agreed to humor his proposal under the condition that Aski learn from him and the submales. It was good to have a new male in the pride, but they needed to ensure he had the right intentions for joining.

Seeing Pamba go about his duties, Asaha was in awe. He was determined to be as cared for by the pride as Pamba was. He took on a serious demeanor as he grew. He had big pawsteps to fill, and he was determined to do so.

Until one day, Asaha found an adolescent scared, starving, and clearly lacking socialization. The primal lion hissed as best he could, flinching away from Asaha. He finally managed to convince Priahha to follow with the promise of a meal. Priahha finished off an entire carcass, worried it would be the last for a while, while Asaha chatted.

After several moons, Priahha ended up following Asaha in his activities, curious about pride life. Within a season, one wasn't seen without the other. Asaha began acting less as an heir, and more as a cub again.

Both took Pamba's passing hard. For almost a season the pride was led essentially by two sub males. Asaha did his best, and made some decisions, transforming the pride into a sort of faux royalty setup, but nothing felt quite right. It wasn't until Priahha started to grieve less that Asaha had a moment to think about leadership. Seeing Priahha flourish to gracfully from a feral, spitting beast, to a mighty and humble giant, Asaha saw Pamba's spirit for the first time in a while. He couldn't take that away from the pride. He couldn't take that away from Pamba's legacy. Asaha spoke to Priahha about this and pleaded for him to take up the role of king.

Nose scar is from sparring with Priahha. Earned at 14 yrs, 3 m.
