Jackal sat back, eyeing the two. Bamboo quickly stood beside him, gazing at his father and to the lions. "So this is what it comes down to..." Jackal stared at Ace, then the lion. He would pounce whenever needed. Bamboo took the other side, glaring, unsure if he could do this or not.

She glared back, she couldn't run away, her pride was in danger! She quickly slunk behind the two lions, she felt fear. But perhaps... if she was behind the two, she could run if needed, she couldn't ATTACK a lion, surley if it was this big, she wasn't even a sub-adult yet, she was close though.

Zeus
Zeus snarled "Then one last chance, run away and never return again!" He ordered Ace "If you or any of your lionesses ever came back, I'll not hesitate to take their life!"

Bandit
Bandit nodded then laid down beside Feyrin "You were so young when I last saw you! And now you'reeven bigger than me!" He said as he licked Feyrin's muzzle.

“Wait!” Ace yelped, then glanced at the others, her paws shaking.
“Wait,” she repeated. “What if I went with you?” The gears in her head were turning slowly, quietly, forming a ramshackle excuse for a plan. Perhaps she could escape later. This was a bad situation overall. Maybe she could save everyone else, and they could come rescue her. “Would you leave them and the territory alone if I… if I agreed to be your… m-mate?” She nearly spat the word in disgust, but she met the male’s eyes defiantly, trying to keep her paws still. They seemed to disagree with her, and continued to shudder in horror at what she was doing.
What was she thinking?! This was a terrible idea. But she’d gone too far to take it back now. She had to see what he would say, at least.

Zeus
Zeus smirked "Leaving this territory? Never, and leaving your pride alone? I was going to do that already if they left peacefully and gave me this territory! It's rich with prey and there are many water sources that never dry in the summer, who would refuse a paradise like this?" He said to the lioness.

A gust of relief shot through Acetone, even though she felt extremely guilty for feeling it.
She could protect her pride a different way then. She crouched low and snarled, then looked at the others again.
“Give us a moment to consider your offer,” she said, huddling with her pride members into a tight circle.
“What do we do? I’m obviously not going with him, since he offers absolutely no advantages to doing that. Not that I want to, anyway, because ew. But… should we leave our only home? We have no place else to go… we should be able to win this fight, since it’s five against two, but are we willing to risk the casualties? Especially with one of the five already injured?”
She nodded at her bound ribcage.

“She isn’t interested.” He stared at Zeus. “You attacked them, I don’t think they like you one bit.” He sat, his claws slowly stabbing in and out of the dirt.

Acetone thought for a long moment.
“Alright. It seems like a good idea to leave for now,” she said loudly, before lowering her voice so that the male and his lioness couldn’t hear. “Let’s play the long game. We can stay nearby the territory, and wait for a weak spot to attack and reclaim it. We can regroup and heal while he grows lazy and we can catch him off guard. And we can wait for Feyrin and her new friends.” She turned her gaze to Zeus.
“I know you were bluffing about killing a striped hyena. If you see Feyrin, will you tell her to follow us?”

Hera hissed, suspicious of what they were whispering about. She hadn’t been able to hear them, but they were probably up to no good.
“Of course he would,” she snarled. “He’s a good person, unlike you.”

Ace raised an eyebrow skeptically, but sighed and nodded.
“We will leave. Give us some time to gather our things.”

Zeus
Zeus frowned deeply for a moment, but nodded. “If any of you are still here by sundown… well, I don’t think I need to go into details.”
He put a claw by his throat and slowly dragged it across, before sitting down in a shade, a ways from the other lions.

Hera
The lioness curled herself next to Zeus, who patted her gently, filling her with joy. He does love me! her mind hummed happily. He cares about me. He does!

Feyrin
Feyrin gave Bandit a small smile.
”I suppose so. It’s been a long time.” She watched as he slowly fell asleep, then let herself slip into a shallow sleep herself.
She was awoken around midday by a few rustling noises as the rest of the pack were being shaken awake by their queen.
Feyrin admired how gentle she was with her subjects, and yet, from her scars, it was clear that she fought viciously to protect them. They were truly a family.
That’s what I’ll do, Feyrin thought. If I’m ever in charge of anything or anyone. I’ll treat them like family. And I’ll fight to protect them.

Bandit
Bandit let out a loud snore as Feyrin nosed him awake.
“Mmph,” he mumbled, pushing her away sleepily.

Well. Wandering the territory unsupervised was probably not the best idea for a little cub of three months, and honestly Faina was having second thoughts about sneaking out. Well, it wasn't really sneaking out, in Faina's humble opinion. She'd just sauntered past the guard like it was nothing. And the guard had been distracted with her lunch anyway, so... not really sneaking out, in the grand scheme of things. Her pride's territory was safe, right? It must have been. Most of the area was familiar, anyway, from her brief training sessions. See, that was the watering hole over there where she took down her first prey, and that lone, mighty baobab she'd always thought looked funny. The little grey primal trekked the land carefully, or as carefully as she could whilst she was wrapped up in a haze of wonder, the tall grass tickling her chin.

(( There’s not really enough lions in this pride for it to have a ‘guard’ or even someone to take care of the cubs. They all do that together ^^ just saying, this pride is in the middle of a crisis (and also a very… not-so-peaceful transfer of power. If Faina is outside the territory, she’s probably getting murdered by Zeus the moment she gets back. Just providing some information! ^^ hope it helps? ))

(( no no you don’t need to be sorry! XD I don’t know, you can do what you like with her, but the pride is currently getting kicked out of their territory by Warrior’s character, Zeus, and so she might get separated from them if she’s galavanting off somewhere lmao~ so if you want to do that, sure, but you can do what you want! I would suggest reading the last 3-5 pages tho ^^ ))

She spotted the cub as they were getting ready to leave the territory. She’d never send this cub, but a cub alone was never good! She trotted over to the little on, “What are you doing away from a pride? You’ll get eaten if you run off like that!” Her intention was to come off gently, but it sounded more like a threat…


((You’re fine! A lot just happened though! So Zeus took over the territory with Hera and the pride is having to leave. The main lioness (Ace) is injured pretty badly. She also has an adopted hyena cub (Feyrin) who is on her antihero arc and is building an army to stop the war between lions and hyenas. That’s what had happened recently.))
