The tutorial has gone unchanged since it's creation, back when lioden was a very different game functionally! I feel a lot of improvements and updates could be made to help new players get to grips with things. Replayable Tutorial For both new and returning players, the tutorial may be a lot to get to grips with in one sitting. The fact it can't be replayed puts players who have gone on hiatus at a dis-advantage and it can lead to some players never returning because they can't get the hang of things. Episodic/Quest style tutorial Sitting through a whole tutorial from start to end can be a strain, so re-playable sections in the form of quests or episodes would be a good way to refresh on specific subjects. Full tour of the site A number of newer features are left out of the tutorial, including the adventure page, search function, gorilla enclave and giving tree. There is also no explanation of the different options for the chat box, leading to few new players knowing about sales chat to advertise things in the correct place or the help box to seek support. Strictly requiring players to visit each broad section of chatter as well as other locations mentioned but not visited in the tour would be beneficial also Genetics A general run down of genetics including marking tiers, base rarity meanings and how mutations work wouldnt go amiss. Even providing a direct link to their sections on the wiki would allow those who need to know more about genetics to learn before starting. More active participation tasks A lot of the tutorial waters down to "go to place, read about place" without prompting interraction with features. Other similar sites prompt new players to make a comment on an "introduce yourself" forum, run through a quest for an npc (ie gorilla enclave) or join a clan to confirm understanding of each feature. Broodmothers Broodmothers are not covered whatsoever in the tutorial, leaving new players oblivious to their function of keeping cubs alive. This could easily be merged with the breeding tutorial- go claim another lioness. She has a nurturing personality and would love to babysit your cubs. Set lioness to broodmother and assign cub to lioness, Nice and safe! Territory The shifting mechanic for territory growth is a confusing one in general, a brief pop up tutoral would be helpful to explain the mechanic to players as and when it changes from paid, to pvp and back to paid slots again. TLDR: Replayable tutorial as episodes or quests Cover all the areas of crossroads. Explanation of chat sections and brief rundown of rules Explanation of genetic traits Active participation in tutorial instead of reading. Broodmother tutorial Territory Tutorial. I'd love to hear feedback on this suggestion! If you support or not I'd love to know why, but remember to keep comments respectful to both new and experienced players More suggestions ~ Dedicated Help Chat Helpers ~ Tutorial Re-Haul ~ Personality Suggestion- Impatient ~ Personality Suggestion- Diligent ~ Un-pin abandoned posts ~ An option to opt-out of post-hiatus needs refills |

This actually has some really awesome ideas that could reduce the amount of questions players have for others! 0 players like this post! Like? |

i really wish territory had been covered in the tutorial, i ended up not knowing you could gain territory through pvp and bought a ton as a newbie 0 players like this post! Like? |

This would be super helpful! I've been on lioden for around 7 years and STILL don't fully understand the 'tiers' of markings! It would also help a lot to explain what different mutations are/do, or at least prompt the user to check out the wiki for more info! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yes, oh my god. A lot of veterans are probably tired of answering the same questions and explaining the same aspects of the site over and over when someone posts on Game Help. I don't blame any of the posters for the fact that it happens - the forums themselves are rather intimidating and tricky to search through as a new player. I don't remember the tutorial either beyond a rough image of what my first lioness looked like, so I can't really accurately weigh in on what "feels" like it was covered adequately and what doesn't. I also went on a hiatus a couple years after joining for about a year and a half(?) and, like many others who did the same, didn't really remember a lot. Relearning without the aid of any tutorial can be pretty tough. 0 players like this post! Like? |

also the wiki is really hard to follow in general terms, especially if you have no idea what to look for or where stuff is. i still find it hard finding shit even when i spell it out in the wiki search bar. Even if the tutorial is in there, not many users think to look there. i personally never noticed it up until 2021 [2 years after i joined] because it's just where all the boring shit is lol 0 players like this post!
