Random mutations are rare, and can appear randomly from time to time. However, it takes forever. To up your chances of gaining mutations, you can use things like CRB (Cotton Root Barks) that are available for 1GB in oasis, or things like Lion Meats(Available sometimes when completing the 50 lioness quest or for 2000 SB in January), or a GMO cow (available last month in September). From studies, the CRB works like 15-20% of the time I think, but you can find studies on it in the player made guide section. Lion Meats are a little more effective, and GMO’s most of all. However, easier mutations like Primal and Pie/Patches variants can be passed along from their parents.

Right so, heres a checklist
If its an AMP its almost always female only in which case you need a lion scrot for it to pass, same item for dwarves
CRB will lets say delete the first pregnancy and give you a slightly higher mutation chance on the next litter, crb ncls are 2gb each in the trading center and 3gb or higher if chased with a valuable base or BO marks or ncl exclusive special base, etc
Pennyroyal (in oasis, 1gb) will give you an increased mutation pass rate for any kind of primal with stipulations for ferus, pennyroyal only works for ferus if both parties are ferus
And gmo cows, those create a much higher chance for a mut
Also 1% fert is the highest fertility based chance for a mut but its still very low
Also buffy balls increasing the min size of the litter to 3

So to get the best odds you need a crb ncl thats been fed a gmo cow at 1% fert with a king thats been fed a buffy if you want to spin the wheel and see what you get, or if you have a specific mutation in mind just spin the wheel of chance with studs since theres plenty of mutated studs and theres a percent chance pass rate
