Protective, and also enjoys a challenge. Likes to do anything that can show her strength, while also being over bearing to those whom she loves in order to keep them from harm. Takes offense when others try to compare themselves to her— is an esteemed huntress of the pride.

Backstory:
Raised in the Sunrise pride, she was taught to treat everyone in the pride as family, as she did. Since the pride was full of strong lions and lionesses, with her parents being no exception, she was taught the tricks to fighting and protecting others and herself, and in no time became a star at hunting. Since she excelled ever since she was young , she has developed an ego when it comes to her strengths, willing to go to extreme lengths in order to prove herself worthy as huntress of the pride.

Pride visual description:
Lands barren, except for the many animals and pride that cover the large, vast oasis of desert and hot weathers. They depend on their allies for many items, such as plants, flowers, herbs, etc., as they are sacred in the strictly barren deserts. (( a valley surrounded by small deserts, land is quite bare, although leads to thriving lands of other prides, their allies ))

The path begins at the beginning of the valley, leading to an outmost of rocks, with a large gap in the middle, where lions can enter and leave as they please. Two guards are on both side of the gap, checking as the lion and lionesses disperse and enter.

Entering the gap, there are trades markets on the two left and right sides, lions and lionesses, and four dens, the two huntresses dens that are decorated with animal hides, bones, while the two guards den are decorated with the same. As the path continues, there are three split areas, the middle leads to a small, naked area, with a den full of carcasses at the end of the path, with two dens on one side, for the elders, and then another full of the jobless. The path ends, which is now a dead end, the only way is back now. The first path has two dens of brood mothers and cubs on both sides, decorated with red , orange, and yellow flowers, along with nests.

Finally, the last path leads to the royal guards, two dens on the left side full of decorations of their choice, the advisors den of the right side, and an extra den full of trades items. Continuing along the path forward, there is a single den for both the king and queen, then one for the king and queen on the left and right side, then another next to the queen’s for the cubs.

Pride’s history:
At the dawn of the lions age, three lions came together, all with their different stories to tell.
One, a strong huntress, whom had slayed man foes and brought down many monsters in her lifetime. Another, a lioness whom traveled the lands while creating strong friendships with the prides she meant along the way, who brought her liter of three with her. Finally, a strong lion, whom was older then both the huntress and nomad, whom was named, “ King “.

As the litter grew older, they were taught with the skills of their mother, of the huntress, and of the king.

One grew to big strong and large— just like the king, ruling over the lands.

Another kind and caring— like their mother, watching over the cubs.

Lastly, another grew to be perhaps the strongest of them all, even the past king fell short to her strengths, and made herself huntress.

Together, these lions deemed the vast lands of heat and sun, the Sunset pride, or otherwise known as, the Sunset valley.

These lions grew to be cherished, known as the founding members of the pride, each deemed their own names.

For the liter of three, the king was named “ Aether ,” and became a beacon of light and salvation. The huntress deemed “ Adrea ,” and became a warning beacon for those who dare to cross the pride, a symbol of strength and upmost respect.
And lastly, the brood mother, deemed “ Hera, ” and became a beacon of fertilely, love, cubs, and family.

As for those who came together in the first place— they were deemed as so.
The king, mightiest of all, whose roars could shake the very foundation of the land- was named, Helios, and was a sign of sun, home, and maturity / smarts.
The huntress named, “ Enyo ,” became a beacon of massacre, war, and destruction.
Lastly, the first ever brood mother of the lands, named “ Macris ,” a sign of new-birth, metamorphism, and new beginnings.

Rituals of the pride:
For a new cubs birth, images of Hera and Macris are spread, and festivities relating to the two lionesses are also done. (( festivities include hunting in the name of the new cub, dawning cub in a makeshift halo, which the lionesses Hera and Macris are depicted with. ))

For hunting, the winning of a battle, or the crowning of a new hunter / huntress, images of Enyo and Adrea are spread, and festivities held. “ festivities include hunting, feasting, etc., ))

The crowning of a new huntress is taken very seriously. Images of Enyo and Adrea are strung throughout the pride, such as bones, symbols of death, etc., and the new huntress must complete a single successful hunt alone before she can be crowned huntress.

When there are new mates in the pride, symbols of Hera and Macris are spread throughout the pride, such as flowers, plants, etc., and the two are celebrated with feasting, cheering, etc., before having the night to themselves.

Lastly, the crowning of the king and queen is taken the most seriously. Images of Aesther and Helios are spread, such as crystals reflecting light, animal hides, etc., and the king is allowed to go on a hunt with whomever two lions he chooses, and must come back successfully, after a day of festivities such as hunting, feasting, telling stories, etc.,

Another, but smaller ritual, is to gather ‘round a fire at the end of each month (( they count by the rising of the sun ,)) and tell stories of their forefathers and mothers before them. ))

When a lion dies, it is seen as respect to burn their carcass, scenting it with oils and covering their body with yellow, red, and black flowers before they are burnt, and giving the pride one last goodbye.
