ok! i have a lot of ideas based on indigenous brazilian mythology and afro-brazilian religions:
for the girl i think that Jací (J-ai-see) is cool, she is the goddest of the moon, she is responsible for the breending and she has the gift of making hunters miss their family making them going back to their wives, also she is represented as a albino indigenous woman!

for the ferus i think of Charía (Ch-aw-ree-ah) At least once a month, Jaci (the goddest of the moon) and Guaraci (God of the sun) approach the stars and, when Charía feels like it, it attacks and devours one of them, thus causing an eclipse. On that occasion, the Tupi-Guarani people make a great uproar in order to scare the jaguar away and prevent it from eating enough to kill Jaci and Guaraci, because if that happens, the Earth will fall into complete darkness
