Moss'Strike watched as her youngest son, Thaw'Kit, crept closer to the apricot-furred oriental longhair, most likely to be capable of looking at Alstroemeria'Stride properly with his glossy blue-colored eyes and then turned his tiny head around in the direction of the extremely long-furred gray queen. "Oh Thaw'Kit," the somewhat average-sized she-cat meowed quietly with a sorrowful tone in her voice as she used her fluffy tail to gently pull the small cat closer to her warm and soft body, closing her golden-colored eyes and hiding them between her two dark-colored front paws.

A startled mew could be heard from the stocky tom-kit as his mother drew him closer toward her belly with her fluffy grey tail. From this very much so close-up view, Thawkit could see every distinct marking that covered his mother’s long, grey pelage. “Ma…” Thawkit droned, leaning over and shoving his muzzle into her chest fur. “I.. no see you from fa..far away.” The blue-grey kit explained, hoping that would reassure somewhat of his mother’s worries. He was still learning how to piece words together in order to form a sentence, so the grammar and fluidity in the way he spoke was still a little way’s off. “I see you.. nnnn.. oww.” Thawkit drawled, offering his mother a big, toothy grin.

Alstroemeriastride repositioned herself into an upright sitting position, her eyes glazed over with sympathy for the mother. The apricot-furred she-cat knew that Thawkit’s vision wasn’t completely impaired, but there was still a chance it could hinder the possibilities of him ever becoming a warrior. Gazing over to her side, she exchanged glances with Dapplelark. “Should we go?” The jane asked her inamorata with a hushed voice.

The three-legged calico she-cat's mostly white-colored ears twitched occasionally as she listened to the young tom attempting to speak to his mother, she was honestly surprised by the fact that the kit could already talk at such a young age. "It might be unfortunate Thaw'Kit is unable to see properly, but if you would like, you can still play with the other kits." Dapple'Lark meowed in a quiet tone, pressing herself against her inamorata, causing for her somewhat short fur to make contact with her mate's long and soft apricot-colored fur.

The extremely long-furred gray queen's feeling of sorrow was capable of hiding her genuine surprise as she listened attentively to her youngest son making an attempt to speak properly. She slowly moved her paws off of her muzzle and lifted her head before turning her head and looking over at Thaw'Kit, "near-sighted." Moss'Strike mumbled after her kitten had finished explaining he was unable to see things that were far away, however he could see a thing if they were near him, making the gray-furred she-cat somewhat less sad of her son's bad eye-sight.

”Mama..” The tom-kit began. He fell silent for a few suspenseful heartbeats as he tried to form yet another sentence. “..Pretty fur.. Mama.. has.” Thawkit purred, his little kitten tail wagging from to and fro like a canine exploding with merriment. Out of the blue, Dovekit launched herself forward and bulldozed right through her much bigger brother, sending him to the floor. A triumphant yowl emanated from Dovekit as she pinned him to the ground and held her head up high.

”I think we should go. It’s starting to become late anyways.” Alstroemeriastride murmured, giving the top of her mate’s head an affectionate lick. “Unless you’d rather we stay here for a bit longer, then that’s fine too.”

Peeling herself away from her mate’s side, she took a few steps forward and exchanged a few good-byes with the exhausted queen and her exuberant offspring. Once she was done, she then rejoined the three-legged calico by her side and strolled into the camp’s clearing.

The calico she-cat raised the back part of her body, causing her to stand, leaving the softness of the empty moss nest she had been sitting on. She meowed a few quiet goodbyes as well before glancing over towards the entrance of the nursery and walking over to her mate, officially vacating the nursery so that her friend Moss'Strike and the queen's five kits could rest, or at least have some peaceful silence.

Once the duo were relatively far away, Alstroemeriastride thought of an idea. Lowering her rump toward the ground, she wiggled her haunches and flexed her toe beans as she wanted for her claws to remain sheathed. Jerking the upper half of her body forward, the longhaired belle pounced onto the three-legged felid and pinned her back against the earth’s surface. “Oh, oops! I didn’t notice you there, my love. Thought you were a mouse that had scuttled into our camp.” Alstroemeriastride snickered, a sly smirk forming on the feline’s maw.
