Just looking for some pointers on how to manage the pride. I purchase a territory upgrade every time I have the available SB, and I have quite a few cubs that will become adolescents soon. Pretty evenly split on male/female, no mutations as of yet. How do you determine which cubs to keep and which cubs to kick? Is it better to send them to the Giving Tree, chase them off, or put them in the preserve? I've been playing for about a month now, and I'm still trying to get my bearings. Any advice is welcome, as I know everyone plays differently. Thank you in advance! 0 players like this post! Like? |

One thing I would really recommend is fighting for territory slots, rather than buying them. That will save you a load of SB to use for other things, and save time too since you'll be able to grow your territory more quickly. I have a guide on how to find the lowest stat kings to attack which will be the most easily beaten here, in case you're not familiar with how to use Search for this :) As to the rest...most male cubs aren't really worth anything unless they seem good enough that a buyer would consider them either worth the expense of sex-changing, or king-worthy. Obviously that's not the case for most ordinary cubs - so personally I just chase almost all of them immediately. If you have enough space and broodmothers it may be worth putting plain cubs (both male and female) in the TC as cheap gorilla enclave fodder, if you don't mind the extra hassle. That only applies to cubs though, not adolescents. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Firstly, I'd recommend trying to sex-change those male cubs if you want to keep them. Adult males are pretty useless unless you want to king them, and submale slots can get expensive fast. I play as a breed-only keeper, but generally, that boils down to keeping the ones that bring you joy. I tend to prefer keeping cubs with higher numbers of markings that you like since they have a better chance of producing more cubs that you like. I chase most of them off, but I'll send a few to the tree. I wouldn't preserve or kill them because it wastes energy unless you have a certain personality. Chasing and treeing don't cost energy. With the giving tree cubs being so bloated lately, they may not be pulled by a person before they're deleted. It's still an easy way to get rid of them though, and they just might get pulled and make someone happy. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It's probably not worth it to train the males. Training is a good tool in the case of heirs but it's hard enough to sell fodder cubs sometimes. You'd be better off kicking or trying to sell for fodder. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Pvp for territory is a much better way of gaining space until you hit 40 spots. I can explain more in detail when I get off work, but there should be plenty of information on the wiki! https://www.lioden.wiki/territory 0 players like this post! Like? |

I have 2 submale slots that I intend on filling with my first cub (which happened to be male) and one of the others I've sired. I don't intend on keeping more than that. Is it worth it to train the males or just kick them immediately if I'm not a fan of their markings/appearance? 0 players like this post! Like? |
