Isletsong ”What are you up to now?” Isletsong huffed, their hazel orbs following the opposing HawkClan cat as he strode toward the front of the cage and began to fiddle with the metal latch once he approached it. The high-pitched clanging noises that reverberated from the latch goaded the already deeply annoyed felidae. “For frick’s sake, would you stop that already! Cometpaw / HawkClan / Medicine Apprentice Cometpaw began to wash himself casually, drawing a paw from his tongue to his ears. Between and through laps of cleaning, he replied, "Fairly well, actually! I went out this morning and managed to collect some chervil and watermint. Then, I got to learn about them. Did you know they're both used for bellyache?" He mused on about some other herb uses he was taught about, clearly very excited and passionate about rambling on them. "Anyway," he chuckled bashfully, noticing he had been speaking quite a lot. Echowhisper Cometpaw’s sprouting knowledge of herbs and their uses and even their similarities regaled the Sphinx cat. They didn’t mind the younger felidae’s prolonged blabbering; instead, it was quite fascinating to the hairless mediator. In her eyes, it seemed Cometpaw’s doubtfulness was extraneous. “Oh, don’t worry about it. I don’t mind if you talked more than I did.” Echowhisper assured him. “But, I’m alright. Timber'Whisp - HawkClan He hissed at the irritating CorvidClan cat. "I'm not going to be able to if you don't hush up!" Timber looked back to the lock, his claws aching as he jammed them upwards to unlatch the cursed tool. With a stroke of luck, the lock made a faint snapping noise, was it really unlocked? Cometpaw / HawkClan / Medicine Apprentice Cometpaw nodded as she spoke, sitting upright and finishing the last bit of his grooming. His chin tucked and he lapped at his chest before responding. "So you just hang around when no one needs to be, you know, mediated?" The Russian Blue tom asked naturally. "I wish I had more downtime. Seems like I've always got something to do. Fetching herbs, lessons, organizing, helping Myrtlemask with patients..." Cometpaw's remark was interrupted by his own yawn. It was prolonged and wide, and when it ended, his eyelids began to droop just a tad. "But I don't mind it much. Sometimes I just need a nap after it all." The young feline curled his slender tail around his body and over his paws in a neat fashion. The tomcat's head swiveled to peer with wide, bright eyes at his mentor and he awkwardly hopped to all fours. "Speaking of which," Cometpaw murmured with a twinge of humor. "I'll talk to you later, Echowhisper!" He scampered towards Myrtlemask as quickly as he could, his legs sliding in a frenzy as he scrambled towards them. Cometpaw nodded vigorously and trailed behind his knowing mentor with a little bit of a bounce in his step. All the exhaustion he was mentioning to Echowhisper a moment ago seemed to dissipate, dispelled by his overwhelming eagerness. His tail arched high over his back, the tip curling inwards. They stopped momentarily by a flowing creek to get a drink, then continued pushing on. "Alright, for your first lesson as a medicine cat, I'm teaching you basic herbs, what they cure, and how to pick them without damaging them. " They said with excitement, a small bounce in their step as they began talking about plants.
