a buffy is truthfully all you need, if you're just looking to try for a pon. any other breeding items are optional but not discouraged! (though I wouldnt use CRB)

as for studs, any work depending on your preferences! there are little restrictions. If your pon has a combo factor then I'd try for that, but otherwise generally I'd say seek clean and short gen kings - though that's purely a personal preference!

barking is not necessary unless you're looking to get extra heats from her, or to have her in heat quicker. natural heats work fine!

this is all greatly reassuring and helpful, thank you. are gmo cows and lion meats a bad idea? or is crb only bad because it increases the lethality as well as general mutations?

nope, they're fine! since GMOs and lion meat have no affect on hybrid cubs, just general muts, use them as you like! I only say that about CRBs since they dont have that great of a mut booster, plus they kill the litter with a 3 day cooldown so it's far from efficient/useful c:
