Lioden Loft & Mews - Pageants! Welcome to the show ring! Here you can enter your birds of all species in pageants! Status: OPEN - collecting entries Since pageants are more fun in a group, there will be an entry period to collect multiple participants before winners are decided. I may also close pageants (as well as other thread activities) if I know I’m unable to be active soon. Pageant status will be listed above.
Competitions are categorized by species and breed. All birds are judged based on health and aesthetic, and the rewards for each category are the same.
So how exactly do you win?
Pageants are in actuality raffles. Each stat from health and aesthetic translate to one ticket. You can increase, but not guarantee, your chance of winning by increasing your birds’ stats. Birds can get stat boosts from participating in pageants, races, and/or hunts.
Pageant entries cost 50 per bird. Birds must be registered in the directory to be able to enter.
The rewards are as follows:
Winner: Possible leveling up, stat boost, largest prize.
Runner-ups (places 2 & 3): Possible leveling up, possible stat boost, smaller prizes.
Losers: Possible stat boost.
SB prizes are drawn from the entry earnings. The more entries, the larger the prize pool.
Stat boosts in pageants apply only to health. Since in real life birds are judged on unchangeable physical characteristics, the aesthetic stat cannot be altered.
Leveling System
1 Win = Level 2
2 Wins = Level 3
4 Wins = Level 4
5 Wins = Level 5
7 Wins = Level 6
10 Wins = Level 7
13 Wins = Level 8
17 Wins = Level 9
22 Wins = Level 10
Continue following system prev # of wins required for level + new level’s # minus 4
(“Wins” can mean successes/wins in any category)
