Aside from monthly event news posts and the 2nd Friday of each month being focused on art/coding updates, all other Fridays are centered around the community!

Clarification on "Fake/Faux" Lions

Recently, we have been running into some issues with "fake/faux" lions being sold. These "fake/faux" lions include, but are not limited to, hybrids, lethals, raffle lionesses, and raffle lioness clones.

One big issue in particular we would encounter involved players purchasing "faux hybrids" that were actually non-mutated lions equipped with Translucent Jellyfish and hybrid-specific custom decors to make them look like hybrids, leading these players to feel as though they were scammed. While these lions are fine on their own, and there is nothing inherently against the rules with decorating a lion to look like something they are not, the problem comes in when these lions would be sold using terms that not all players may be familiar with.

To be clear, players are allowed to advertise and sell custom decors for hybrids and lethals; however, it is now against our Code of Conduct and counts as false advertising to equip these decors to a lion and advertise them as "fake/faux" hybrids and/or lethals.

In addition to this, it is now against our Code of Conduct and counts as false advertising to advertise lions as "fake/faux" raffle lionesses and/or raffle lioness clones. If a lion is not a raffle lioness or an identical clone of an existing raffle lioness, it cannot be advertised as one. It is recommended to advertise them as lions with lots of breed-only traits, or raffle lioness lookalikes. If any players manage to fully recreate raffle lionesses (including ones that may have gone extinct or inactive), it is allowed to advertise them as a raffle lioness clone or recreated raffle lioness.

With this rule adjustment, players are no longer permitted to advertise or sell "fake/faux" lions. Players will be given one week from today (up to March 24th, 2023) to adjust to this new ruling before our staff team will take action against them.

March 18th Edit: Regarding "Near Raffle Lioness Clones" (NRLC), these are fine to advertise and sell as long as it's very clear in your advertisement/listing that it is not the original raffle lioness nor an exact clone of one. Regarding altered raffle lionesses or raffle lioness clones, these are fine to sell as well, as long as you are, again, very clear that they have been modified in some way.

ONGOING POLL - Our poll from the past week is still continuing! We have been looking into the logistics of merchandise (customs fees, sales taxes, etc.) and want to make sure this is a worthwhile venture for us. We don't plan on just throwing our logo onto various items of clothing—our plan for merchandise would be custom designs, including potential NPC plushies, model figurines, enamel pins with various designs, etc. With this in mind, are you interested in Lioden merchandise?
