The base doesn't have to roll with the skin it's attached to. It can pass one of the parent's unrelated skins. Rock salts do not help. Here's another thread where the same thing is said by another player: https://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=304429452530

I can ask Modbox to be sure, but I am 99% sure it does not help.

Dawn is tied to Dusky skin! :)) you can peek at my king, and see he's dusky skined with Red Light Countershaded Special genetics! :))

Rock salts, as far as I know, do NOT help pass the base. They exclusively pass the skin only.

Dawn base is available in July through celestial raffle lionesses, like of like the one's in the crossroads! Dawn markings were released through both RMA, raffle lionesses, and celestial raffles lionesses as well. People would use the rock salt (skin passer item) to help the base pass and gnawrocks (marking passers) to get the markings to pass. :>>

In general ith al the purely breed only parents, than you need one parent to pass down from, ( bandit, bushveld, dawn, sunset etc) they are either desteibuted during July's celetisal raffle ( dawn, sunset, sunrise, stratosphere, celestial, etc), during August savage male ( bandit, ukame, etc) or thrkigh raffle lionesses ( Bushveld etc)

kimanjano and Mandarin pass down from first generation hybrids ONLY, so every one with that base is a descendant of those, and they can happen in any breeding.

May has a groupie event, in which ever lioness and male adol can come with ANY base ( besides kimanjano and mandarin) and ANY Markings ( besides mottled rosette/mottled stripes) from the entire pool of bases and makings on lioden. So theoretically, you could find a groupie lioness with pulsar base! Or dawn

Yes, and the base is tied to dusky skin, hence why rock salts help when trying to get the base to pass.
