I couldn't find it on the wiki (though I might have just missed it) but I have a question in regards to markings (I used to play years ago, and only been back a few days) 1) If one of the parents has Labradorite Mesh in slot 4 (for example) and the cub inherits it, will it always appear in slot 4 or is there a chance the cub will be born with Labradorite Mesh in a different slot? so basicly can markings move slots when inherited? 2) when unlocking hidden markings, if I wanted to unlock one that's hidden in slot 20 do I have to unlock every other slot before it? (aka unlock 9 slots before that) or can I just choose the slot I want to unlock? basicly I have a lioness I might want to unlock some of her markings for aesthetic reasons (if I can get the sb lol) , but I don't to unlock all of them, as I feel some might end up clashing/making her look worse.  0 players like this post! 1) No, markings are ALWAYS inherited in the same slot. Otherwise rare-slot BO markings wouldn't really be a thing. The only "exception" I guess would be rosettes that pop up randomly during a breeding. 2) Gotta unlock every slot up to 20 I'm afraid :( I only ever put markings for aesthetic purposes on slot 11 or 12 for my own kings/queens due to this. I don't necessarily care if the cubs inherit it but it makes my main lion pretty :3 0 players like this post! Like? |

Generally, tier 4 (rosettes) will be the most valuable as well as mottled rosette and mottled stripes sometimes, but tier 2 (raffle breed only) and some tier 3 (July raffle - leonid, dawn, etc, and August stud - scoundrel, ukame, etc) can also be pretty valuable. A lot of it depends on the individual player preference, but unusual colors like bushveld and algae aren't too popular in many instances. How many lions a certain marking appears in specific slots can make a difference between a 50 SB fodder lion and a 20 GB lion. It will take time to figure out x) 0 players like this post! Like? |

thanks for the quick reply, but yeah makes sense, now I just gotta learn what markings are more rare/valuable and such XD disappointed you can't just unlock the markings you want though, I can't see why you can't logically, since it doesn't change what can be carried over or show on resulting cubs :/ 0 players like this post!
