I think this every time I come across her in explore, but when you flirt with the leopardess in explore it says that your lion and her go off an do “god knows what”, implying mating. I think that, when this happens, there should be a 1% chance that you’d have a leopon cub dropped off at your den 3 days later by the leopardess. So same incubation period as a normal breeding, which a possible surprise later. Maybe there could be a special item during certain events where it increases your chance of getting a pon from that pairing by a random percentage. Still not super high, maybe instead of the normal 1% it could increase it by between 2%-15% so a max of 3% to 16% possible. Update: I wasn’t aware of the original percentage being around .007%. So, instead of making it 1% chance, what about matching it at .007% chance upon the encounter? Update #2: so referencing Terrinthia’s post below, leopons come from a lioness and make leopard pairing. But there COULD be a new hybrid of Lipard, which would come from the pairing of a male lion and a female leopard. This could come specifically from that explore encounter mentioned before, with the .007% chance of having a lipard dropped off at your den 3 days later. It would require a work up of essentially a new hybrid I suppose? |

For a first generation pon? Even 1% is way too high. They are meant to be extremely exclusive and high-value muties. They often sell for 1500+ . It would murder the market and upset all the people who actually worked hard to obtain their first gens, either through breeding or forking out that massive amount of money for it. Even if you don't mean first gens, which wouldn't make much sense, still... 1% is way too high. Unfortunately, hybrids aren't meant to be easy or cheap to obtain. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

No support for the reasons Leon stated, with crbs it's said to be roughly (not confirmed) 0.007 percent anyways, so 1 percent is crazy high 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 20/04/23 @ 11:47:45 by Sunset Valley💞| (#350308) |

Okay, then what if you match that percentage to the encounter? Instead of 1%, then make it a .007% chance? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Still,, it would tank the market and make first gens not as sought out if they were that easy to obtain. It's not something I see happening, and we're getting a new hybrid soon anyways 0 players like this post! Like? |

I just don't think it's a good idea. Even with that, there will be more pons being born because people who don't actively breed them will be obtaining them, even if that's a small chance. Plus, I don't see it ever being implemented since it skews pons and gons even more, since tigons wouldn't have a similar encounter. 0 players like this post! Like? |

A leopard male and a lion female creates a leopon. A leopard female and lion male would be a Lipard or something like that. So since you can't own leopard females in your pride, it would have to be introduced as an explore-exclusive mutation, which seems like a lot of work. 2 players like this post! Like? |

I didn't even consider that. That's right! Tigons and ligers and vastly different, so I would guess leopons and lipards(?) would be as well. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I am conflicted. I think that this is a good idea because I don't even know how to get pons without buying them, and I don't know how those who DID breed them did so. However, I do agree that 1% or even 0.007% is too high... Decrease it to about 0.0001% and maybe? We could also add in 1-3 more zeros before the 1. Again: MAYBE. Also, I think that even if the leopardess DOESN'T end up having a pon, she should still come tell you... I don't know... just my thoughts 1 player likes this post! Like? |

@Queen of the Kings All breedings have a very, very small chance of giving you Gen 1 leopon, tigon, or dwarf. Using CRB, Lion Meat, GMO cow, 1% fertility lionesses, etc. raises the chance of getting random mutation, which can also produce a hybrid. But they can be also bred with a very high amount of luck with no items. It is all based on RNG luck. And no, I am not supporting this idea, which has been not supported by the staff in the past too. I am a tigon owner, not Gen 1 but still, so I am saying no to this because it would destroy the hybrid value and market price and Jaglions are coming. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think that the leopardess should still have a chance... So, maybe a, like, 0.00000001% chance or something? And maybe certain things can increase or decrease the likeliness. Maybe certain event items and action in and outside of explore? 1 player likes this post! Like? |

So I searched for this thread because I had the same interaction in explore, meeting the leopard female and all. Later in explore I had a few experiences where there was a half lion half leopard cub I played with in which my lion felt it was their baby. I have never had that interaction before meeting the leopard female. So yeah, I’m wondering if it is my cub or if I’m reading the situation all wrong. 0 players like this post! Like? |
