Have you been struggling to find a good heir? Don't know what the stud market likes? Well, I can help! Finding a good heir to be your future stud is difficult, for sure! A king has a lot of features that can affect his amount of stud requests. 1. Clean Vs Dirty The most common reason for low studs is a dirty king. A dirty lion is a lion with inbreeding in their heritage, shown below. An inbred heritage A heritage with no inbreeding (or a clean heritage) will not have a pop up with an inbreeding count Be sure to check your king/heir's ENTIRE heritage for inbreeding, inbreeding can go further than the first page of his heritage! Why does this affect my studs? This effects your stud requests hugely due to preference. A lot of people breed clean lions, therefore will use clean (non inbred) studs. 2. Mutation Another deciding factor for players when studding is the king's mutation. A large reason for people studding to a king with a mutation is so that the stud will produce this muation onto their lioness' cubs. The only stud mutations that pass from studdings are Primal variants and Piebald/Patches variants 3. Appearance (Markings, Base) People also stud kings with bases and markings they like, or are trying to get. Bases bred together can make combo bases, which are rare bases that can only be acheived by breeding 2 specific bases. Here's the Wiki link for combo bases, showing all combo factors, and what base comes from them. Markings are important to studs, as well. Studs with 5+ markings tend to get the best stud attention, 20 being the maximum amount. Most people will decide on a stud based on his markings, if they're favorable, look good on lions, are breed only, or are rosettes. A list of disliked markings include: Brawl (+Inverted Brawl) Rumble (+Inverted Rumble) Sqabble (+Inverted Squabble) Lycaon (All variants) {Not everyone hates this marking, but it passes so easily some dislike it} Proteles (All variants) {Not everyone hates this marking, but it passes so easily some dislike it} Appearance is a massive factor in your studs "studability". Having a general color palette for your stud is a great way to go. A king with lots of markings which don't go well together will result in a mess of a lion, likely reducing his stud requests. Try to have a color palette in mind before adding things to your stud, and experiment in the lion wardrobe! 4. Stats Stats can be a deciding factor as well for some people searching for a stud. Studs with stats fewer than 300 tend to not be as popular in terms of studding. People may be studding to your lion hoping for cubs that can be sold for their good stats. Stats don't always affect your stud, but it does based on preference. You can improve your stats every day by playing the Baoball minigame. There are also various food items that if fed to your king, can increase his stats. Some additional things!! Decor! Having a well decorated king can drive people to your stud, but isn't usually too important. Stay away from decor mixes that cover your whole lion. People gotta see him to decide if they wanna stud him! A fair price! Having a fair stud price is very important. You can compare your price to similar kings (same mutation, base) to decide on your price! You can also ask a fair price in main chat, as long as you dont advertise at all in main chat :) 6 players like this post! Like? Edited on 27/10/23 @ 23:07:04 by 🌊Cali🌊 (#278131) |

Your king is still young -- It's totally up to you! I usually start making plans for a new king when mine is about 9y6m, and then work on getting funds for it once hes around 10, then having a new king once he's 11. 11 is a bit young for retirement, so if you want to keep your king for longer, thats great too! 1 player likes this post! I may or may not have added a squabble marking last year. That’s probably the reason why I don’t have many stud requests (although I don’t want to remove it because I really like how it affects my king’s base and makes it more vibrant) I also added an angelic cheetah marking and I’m regretting that. I’m planning on removing the angelic cheetah marking when I king my heir. 0 players like this post! Like? |
