New Pride Month ContentNew EncountersFour new pride-related encounters have been added to explore this month, joining our existing pride encounters!
As usual, we hope to add a few every year to enrich the variety of encounters. We have also received feedback regarding the polyamorous encounter. We will adjust it this weekend. You might need to clear your browser's cache once it's updated! Note: We have heard there's an odd scripting issue with the wrong files showing up. We hope coders can look into this ASAP! <3 New DecorsLots of new pride-related decors have been added to Monkey Business, available to purchase straight away!
Event UpdatesShrine Side Quests
You may have noticed a Shrine Passage when you enter the Temple of the deity you aligned with this month. If you decide to interact with this side mission, you will be required to clear out the rubble and follow the story to access new daily quests and lore! The Shrine is different depending on the deity you're aligned with. If you aligned with Bast, you will find the Shrine of Horus. If you aligned with Seth, you will find the Shrine of Khnum. If you aligned with Anubis, you will find the Shrine of Thoth. Clearing the rubble is required only once. It will not reset if you decide to reset the timeline; however, that will reset your story progress in any of the shrines, due to you going back in time. We value that clearing the rubble takes effort, energy, and items, so this is just a one-time interaction with the universe that resists the time skip. :D
In the Shrines, you will also have access to small, dedicated shops. This year we're launching off with the following: Shrine of Horus
Shrine of Khnum
Shrine of Thoth
Of course, they also use Khepri Beetles as currency. We will expand the contents every year, and maybe expand the possible interactions as well! Other New Event Content

I spent almost an energy bar to find a chasm, and then rerolled to the destroy statues one, and after just over two energy bars later I've found a whopping 2 statues. This is a horrible waste of my energy and now I don't know if I'll be able to get a quest done today which also means I'm not getting precious khepri beetles. Edit: Another energy bar or so later with only 1 more stupid statue being found, I had to reroll. Took me about 500 sb (that's more than half a gb these days btw) to reroll until I got to a reasonable quest again. Yeah, I... honestly, after unlocking the shrine and getting the quest related to the cultists, I had so much trouble I started wondering if it was an explore encounter at all, but I couldn't find anything on any other page of the site... and it's been a couple days since then and I still have not seen one encounter related to it. I feel like I'm on pretty frequently at the moment, so it's pretty frustrating ^^;; Edit: In an astounding stroke of irony, I got my first cultist-related encounter (after changing my quest twice) moments after I posted this. I only needed one to complete this quest, so... yay! (It only cost 100 SB and my sanity!) ...I'm getting the impression you can only get the cultist-related encounters when you're specifically assigned to the corresponding quests, which makes sense, but definitely adds to the impression of scarcity one gets at first. At least that part isn't an issue (and probably for the better, to avoid clogging up other encounters more when they aren't necessary). 0 players like this post!
