WHAT IS A JINGLER?
--
Jinglers are an original semi-closed (as detailed later in this post, MYOs are available) adoptable species which can be obtained through auctions or other events. They're small (about the size of guinea pigs) with round, fuzzy bodies. The defining feature of a Jingler is its bell, nestled into its collar of fur. Every jingler is unique (hand-drawn and hand-colored).



TRAITS & RARITY

Jinglers come in a host of different forms, each with their own special traits.
The trait slots are bell, tail, and ears.

All traits are assigned a rarity. Below is a tier list with examples.

Common: This rarity occurs naturally on most Jinglers. Instances of common traits include average tail lengths, dog ears and cat ears, and generic gold/silver bells.

Uncommon: This tier group includes bells made of an alloy other than gold/silver, short tails, and small ears.

Rare: Seeing a Jingler with a rare trait would take most people by surprise. Examples include long tails, non-alloy bells (i.e. gemstone bells), and large ears.

Legendary: As the name suggests, legendary traits are extremely rare. Jinglers with legendary traits are incredibly valuable and coveted. Traits in this tier include non-animal tails, non-animal ears, and especially odd bell variations.


MUTATIONS
--
In some peculiar cases, Jinglers have been reported as looking... quite different. Why mutations occur, scientists cannot be sure, but mutations tend to relate to aspects of the Jingler body. Coloration changes like albinism/melanism have been recorded, as well as things like missing tails, and even wings. Perhaps you'll discover something new?

Lore

A woman laughs, and it rings out, floating across the room. A belly-deep, warms-the-heart kind of laugh that makes your day. And she can’t stop laughing. It was a simple joke, really. Nothing comedically genius. But she felt it in her core, the way you sometimes do.

Eventually, her laugh fades and she catches her breath, returning to normal conversation. She doesn’t think anything of it. But above her head, a cloud of gold dust begins to congregate. No one notices. They never do, really. It shimmers, catching the light of the fluorescent LED bulbs that keep them all from plunging into darkness. And a shape emerges. Small, fluffy, and bearing a smile, the Jingler descends to the ground from the shimmering particles and scurries away, no doubt to find more of its kind, bell ringing as it runs.

All Jinglers spawn like this. It’s a strange phenomenon; around the world, genuine laughs resound, and on every occasion, a Jingler is born. They surround us, every one objectifying a truly joyous moment. Yet most cannot see them, for they are only visible to humans when a heart is unclouded with negativity, instead embracing joy and humor.

In most cases, their bells ring like the laugh that created them, although Jinglers whose bells take on a different sound entirely are known. They are social creatures and tend to dwell in groups, so where you see one Jingler, there are likely many more. If given attention, they are highly affectionate and mischievous, aiming to make people laugh.

PRICING. All common (base price) = 10
+1 uncommon trait = +1
+1 rare trait = +3 (cap at 2 rare traits)
+1 legendary trait = +10 (cap at 1 legendary trait)
+1 mutation = +12 (cap at 1 mutation)
Contact me about an MYO. I must approve your trait plans with anything above a common rarity. (i.e. if you want to include an antenna mutation, run it by me.)

Rules

i. Please credit me for your Jingler(s); my Toyhouse username is hazydays.
ii. You can trade Jinglers as long as both parties agree to the terms. No need to run it by me first.
iii. You can sell your Jinglers, but do not do so for more than you bought them for.
iv. Avoid backing out of bids when possible. Serious bidders only, please.
v. A snipe guard will be listed for every auction.
vi. If payment cannot be made within four (4) days of the auction end date, the Jingler defaults to the next highest bidder.
vii. Minor edits to designs you own are OK, but please run them by me first.
viii. Remember to consult me for MYOs!
