hello again, lioden!

i'm not sure if any of you will remember me - my previous username was hufflepuff and most referred to me as huffle (i think lol), but i've rebranded to fit my current online presence. you can call me greyy or nina :) i used to be super active but was always a casual player at best - i never did any breeding projects or achieved any impressive goals, and unfortunately i'm still playing my terribly ugly starter king, ilroy. his name used to be kamikaze, but after logging on after so long, lioden told me to give him a new name lol. i have some spare time this summer and wanted to give lioden another go, but i've NEVER been proficient at any game mechanics and could use some help.

- i can retire my ugly king ilroy in three weeks. is there any hope for me in crowning a nice looking king without breaking open my pocketbook? i love love pretty lions and remember wanting a cave full of gorgeous babies with awesome decor, but i never got there. again, just not a very good player.

- i'm basically starting from ground zero and am sort of overwhelmed with the thought of getting myself to where i want to be. i want to be able to breed pretty lions with high stats (i also remember REALLY wanting to breed a mutie but i don't think i'll ever achieve that) and eventually have a bunch of currency to spend on art and everyone's cute little adoptables (the obsession that never went away).

so, where do i begin?

thank you for reading! i'm excited to be back and try again <3

Hey there! Welcome back to LD :) Next month’s event is a really popular one with some nice applicators and a special lioness raffle that resets.. every 12 hours I believe, and I’m assuming they’ll be adding a new base this year. Your best bet to get on your feet asap is really grind for currency next month. August also has highly sought after Buffalo Scrotums, but in my opinion they’re a little harder to get if you’re not a very frequent player.

September has GMO cows, ochre gnawrocks, and salt licks. These items are SUPES popular and are amazing to hoard up and resell around April-August. I also highly recommend grinding during October and February lol. I know this sounds like a lot of playing and waiting but this month is one of the dry ones where you can’t make a ton of event currency very quickly.

Grinding during these months will yield you pretty good results. If you want to start out easier than constant item grinding: hunting every 30 min all day long lol. Food is selling quick these days and is in high demand. I go 100 uses = 1 but I’ve seen people even double the price on that. Selling skulls to the monkey, especially lion skulls. Entering give aways or contests is also good!

There’s also selling NCLs or cubs in the trading center, I know most of the time I buy out like every trade I can with cubs or NCLS priced below 20SB a piece which is good considering NCLs are basically free. :)

You can go on giveaway threads to look for males you want as heirs. I've gotten quite a few lions that way early on.
