Hey all, so I’m an ickle newbie who decided to check this out from Lionden’s sister site. I was wondering if there’s a guide anywhere to what’s similar and what’s different? I know wolvden has one that’s, “if you came from lionden” but I was wondering if there’s one here that’s Ike, “if you came from wolvden.” Thanks!

Also, I was wondering for the July event must you have 5k sb and the other items to do it or is there like an event akin to June alongside it?

And I swear somewhere there was a guide or something that had, “studs to avoid in lineage,” but now I can’t find it. If someone could point me there that’d be great.

Ello! Welcome to Lioden
As far as I'm aware there's no guide for folks who came here from Wolvden; I don't play Wolvden either so I don't know the differences between the two sites very well but I'd like to think I'm a pretty seasoned member of LD at this point and I can probably answer any more specific questions you have.

July event has a free storyline as well- all the monthly events do. Journey to Vredefort Crater is a once-per-account special questline that's separate from the event despite starting in the same month. It is a very resource-intensive quest and you'll be able to access it anytime after you start it so don't worry about not finishing it within the month.

Regarding lineage- a lot of players on this site will refer to it as either being "dirty" (containing inbreeding) or "clean" (no inbreeding, shorter heritage). Inbreeding has absolutely no effect on the game and it is entirely a matter of personal preference whether you want to try to maintain clean heritage in your pride or not, though clean lions are typically more valuable/expensive than dirty lions at this point. Clean breeders will usually try to avoid a few specific stat monsters in their heritages as well- Moby Dick, The Savannah Prince, Keyser Soze, Indra, HOT HOT TATER TOT, Boombah- but there's otherwise absolutely nothing wrong with having them in your lion's heritage.

I only played Wolvden when it first came out, so I'm not sure if any of my 'advice' is out of date, but here are some differences that were of note to me. I generally find Lioden more relaxed, gameplay wise.

1) On Lioden, when your king retires, you have an option to clone it onto its heir replacement. This copies pretty much everything other than stats, lineage, and mutation, which will be replaced by that of the heir's. This means you can basically keep around the 'same' king forever, and even give it a shorter, 'cleaner' lineage than it originally had (or a new mutation, or better stats).

2) Illnesses don't exist (and so things like eating expiring food don't carry any risk of detrimental effects), and HP is not a separate meter you'll need to tend to -- your king will just start every battle with full HP. Using a Lucky Foot will automatically win the battle for you.

3) Only kings can sire cubs with lionesses. Adult male lions that are not kings cannot produce cubs unless they are made king.

4) Nursing cubs will NOT lose survival chance each rollover if their mother is not fully fed / of the best mood, or gain a boost to survival chance if the opposite is true. You only really have to assign them to a broodmother to fully 'protect' them.

5) You can officially have two accounts on Lioden and freely exchange materials between them, but you cannot have more than that.

6) Mutations like Achromia / Melanism do not pass down naturally to cubs. The dominant / recessive mutation gene system doesn't exist even for mutations that can pass down naturally to cubs (such as piebalds) - it's more a percent chance. For example, a 5% chance that the mutation will be passed down to any cub regardless of the other parent.

7) Lioden has an Impression system with multiple tiers. At higher tiers of Impression, you will start to come across NCLs with more unique traits, chased lions from other players. At the highest level (Dreamboat) all NCLs you claim will all be in heat, and there is a very slim chance you will find one with a stated mutation boost.
