I honestly love this event and it's my favourite one so far !! It's like a breathe of fresh air from June's event with all it's constant grinding to at least try to get something from the shops

I absolutely love the artwork the space theme with the aquatic animals are super cool and pretty !! I also find it super easy to obtain AC and MS and it's great you can still battle veil nebula enemies without needing any energy (though i find that bit a teensy bit strange but hey , i'm not complaining ! )

Overall 10/10 event . I dunno what it was like in the past years but this year's storyline and artwork and concept is great

I'm still pretty new and have only played a little bit of last month's even and some of this month's. But I've got to say, I'm enjoying it so far. The aesthetic isn't really my thing, but it's still very enjoyable. I like doing Celestial Explore - the backgrounds are pretty, and the enemies very pretty. I've got upwards of 3.5k axion cores between my main and side account, and we're barely into the second week of the event.

I'm also enjoying the Civil War story. The characters are fun, and even while one of my accounts is siding with Apedemak, I'm enjoying the story.

(Note: As I joined around last September, I'm still a relatively new player I would say, thus I have no memories of the old July event to compare it to-so take my observations with a grain of salt imo haha.)

Though I find it a bit strange that we can take quests from the July characters before we actually get to know them via the storyline, I am thoroughly enjoying everything else!

I think my favorite factor in the July event is the Celestial Explore so far. I feel like it's not very often we have different backgrounds in regular explore unless you reach new levels to access them, and the ones in Celestial Explore are gorgeous! I also enjoy the suspense of waiting to encounter a boss, it makes battling much more engaging in my opinion, plus I don't have to worry about energy since it's basically endless in the Celestial Explore. That being said, I just replaced my old king, and the XP I'm gaining has the levels soaring!

I'm loving it. I love how easy it is to obtain currency so that I can buy what I want instead of having to worry. Last month sucked, I was just barely able to buy one of each base but couldn't get any decor or anything. This one is great. I also love space so perhaps I'm biased.:)

This year, I am loving the July event. The enemies in the new zone are well-balanced, and arent a stress to fight - when the Celestial Explore was first introduced, the enemies were way overpowered! They all had some sort of special ability like trampling or stunning and were KOing your lion before you could even start doing them any damage. Now only few enemies do that, and that makes it feel FAR more enjoyable, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful art without stressing over currency.

It's alright! I think the event mechanics have all been properly ironed out by now and it plays fine(aside from the egregiously cheap app prices in the shop, yeesh), but unless my opinion on the event does a 180 I don't think I'll ever really enjoy it. I prefer more grounded events, and this event just goes way too hard on the fantasy space angle in a way that really clashes with the rest of the site in a way I can't really put aside. Even some other more fantasy styled dramatic events feel a lot more grounded in reality (October, June), but something about July is a lot more intense about that. Maybe that it's not literally grounded anymore and the much more vivid and bright colors. I also really dislike the gameplay where you obtain currency in a lifeless, dull explore with barely any July-unique encounters, and then go spend it to get some other currency. I don't like it and I don't like the lifeless overworld.

That all being said, something clicked for me when I unlocked the Veil Nebula expansion and I get it now, I get what they're going for. It's not my cup of tea but I can appreciate it a lot more now, I guess.
Speaking of Veil Nebula, ngl, I'm digging it. Putting aside my theme gripes and just looking at it from a non-Lioden angle, I really like it. Space+sea is a combination I REALLY enjoy and the unique creature design is great as usual. Veil Nebula has a really interesting ethereal feel to it that I'm liking.

I'm personally neutral on it. I do like the newer addition of the constellation explore, but I do wish that they would swap out the storylines from time to time.

Though granted, the latter is less based on actual enjoyment and more on the fact that I've been a member for... -checks profile- ten years.

I do enjoy the space travel more than apedemak stuff, although I miss the Fireflies. I have an issue with the fact that when I go to space explore its only battle after battle forever and it seems impossible to collect crafting materials.

Honestly I love this event. There’s so much to do and the grinding is fun unlike last month. I think my fav part is the new zone for celestial explore. It’s easier to grind, new apps, jelly fish are cute :3

I find this month’s event very rewarding and it gives you so much to do! I love that I’ve been able to collect everything I wanted just by putting some effort in. I really wish last month’s event had been a little more generous as it’s one I otherwise enjoy too.

Three fighting events in a row. I'm burnt out.
I dislike the space stuff now that it has nothing to do with lions. I joined Lioden for lions.
Why are there space ships and alien crafts? Why not celestial lions?

The Splendor series and such applicator shapes added to the stores have felt very lazy. I dislike Neutron. It could have been nicer IMO.

I'm glad the jellyfish aren't as difficult to fight as the dragons. Tired of miss ratio screwing me over. I've got 2.8k stats. I shouldn't be struggling when doing everything right.

I like Interstellar Marks. Jellyfish was the first release in a long time that's felt like a solid W.

Over-all: Meh.
I will be happy to take a break next month. I'm tired.

Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but personally I genuinely never understood this whole sentiment of there not being enough lion focus during the July event. The storyline of the July event centered around basically celestial lion gods. Also other events feature a variety of non-lion NPCs and even some events like the January event and the September event had major non-lion characters such as Laharu and The Harbinger respectively. But nobody seems to complains about those events.

For me, it's because July was always about the Celestial Kingdom. If we were gunna explore space, I would have preferred it to have a tie-in to the Celestial Kingdom. Maybe explore a starry, alien savannah, jungle, desert, etc with strange geology, and fight lions from Apollyon and Apedemak's kingdoms. I would have rather a continuation of the already-established story.

Most of my bitterness comes from the fact they polled players on how they wanted the event changed, and what the community voted for was ignored. They overhauled the event that people voted they liked, and didn't change the story that players had an issue from. From Lex's post:

July went from being one of my favorite months, to a month that couldn't decide what it wanted to be about, that I only play for decors and applicators. I'm glad others can enjoy it. I just wish I was one of them.
