New Serengeti Shuffle RewardsSerengeti Shuffle's prize pool received some new backgrounds and decors today! 
New RMA-Exclusive Marking!A new marking pattern called Dinictis is available in Random Marking Applicators and Total Shuffles, starting as of the release of this news post! It comes in the following colours: * Almond * Auburn * Black * Blue * Briar * Brown * Chocolate * Cimmerian * Cinnabar * Clay * Dark Brown * Doubloon * Gold * Henna * Noctis * Onyx * Red * Saffron * Scoria * Seal * Silver * White
Note: There are a few mutations left to upload, we'll do that after a good sleep. :D
New Combo Base!Basalt is a new combo base that we are implementing from this suggestion topic. Thank you, Verridith [g1 stellar/cross] (#407)! Per the suggestion, it is a recolour of Meteorite that we feel complements the neat pattern of the base very well! This base can be bred year-round and is not limited by time of day or season.
Genetics: Black Medium Solid Special, tied to Gray skin. Factor 1: Meteorite Factor 2: Flint, Opal, Sterling
Other Updates* Background item frames now look different from decoration item frames, as per the winning vote from a recent poll. * Descriptions have been added for the following beetle species within the Battle Beetle Book: Augosoma centaurus, Bolbaffer princeps, and Copris dracunculus * We want to make a note that we will be releasing a breed-only base pack in late autumn and will limit new bases to events only for a few months! - Clarity Edit 08/13: We have noticed there are imbalances regarding Uncommon and Breed Only bases, and we'd like to release a pack of bases to fill up those gaps. * We have started manually adding sources for where to find items outside of main shops within the Item Catalogue. This will not display in the Item Catalogue list, but once you click on an item to view its page, you will see the source list. We will add sources to a few dozen items weekly until all items are covered!

I'm sorry, but like a lot of other users, I disagree with the poll. I agree with what everyone else is saying too. I didn't see this mentioned anywhere, but for example, if I had a mandarian king and if applicable mandarian markings came into existence, I would be worried that the desire to breed for my cool BO base would go down if you can just slap a couple mandarian markings to your lion and still be able to appreciate the base without having to spend time/energy/GB breeding for a BO base. I know we already have a couple (pulsar, elysian, etc.) but I'm still not happy about this at all, as other people clearly aren't too. The combo base is just a lazy Meteorite recolor. It feels out of place being a combo base; I feel like it should have been applicable. I'd rather just slap on an extremely cheap Meteorite base at that point rather than attempting to combo for that :/ It's actually pretty cute but it just feels weird that it's a combo base, to me at least. Also, gotta mention this as I have been in my news comments as of late, but is there any news on paperclip trades and how they're being handled? You guys mentioned something about them forever ago and there's been no recent news since. They're clogging up the TC and are basically a veiled form of begging. 12 players like this post! Wait... what? So to solve the issues players have about too many app bases and app bloat hurting the site, you're going to only limit the new base releases to primarily app bases? And just do a giant miscellaneous BO base bundle that the contents of is entirely unclear? What is this for, to punish us for daring to be the main players critiquing the game in main chat? You do realize that without year round Dev Updates, there are THREE, count 'em, three months out of the year that we get new non-combo bases, right? May, July, and August. And if you add in combos, we only have one guaranteed in June. We get quite literally get content so infrequently we rely on the dev updates to have some hope. Without dev updates we do not get combo bases outside of the June event one, we do not get any form of markings that aren't July/August ones, we don't get mane colors, we don't get mane shapes, and before August 2023, there was no hope of skin for us either. Is this going to be fixed? Are we going to get a 50/50 ratio of BO to App, or are you just going to continue to implement more app bases every single month AND get to ignore BO players because they tend to be the ones who critique the game because we CARE about how playable the game will be in five years and not new shinies now. I swear when it comes to BO content in this game it's one step forward, five steps back. You do amazing with the April Dev Update Skins, then make more BO colors have app marks in July. Do an actually semi-decent job at giving BO breeders something every dev update, even though it pales in comparison to what app enjoyers get, and then you announce a random BO base pack with no clarification on what it'll be and say you're pausing non-event content when that's the content BO breeders rely upon and without it we get two months with markings out of the year. I was excited for this dev update, after seeing everything we got in the August event. Now I'm just disappointed with a bitter taste in my mouth. I can't believe we're essentially getting punished for critiquing the game we love and want to see in a healthier state. 16 players like this post! Like? |

Hold on, so all breed only bases are being paused until late autumn (as apps continue to be pumped out in droves) because of some mysterious "breed-only base pack"? With no indication of what this contains, it could be anything from 25+ new rares to a couple more combo bases that are just recolors of apps. How is it fair that app bases will continue to be released but BO bases won't, when the ratio of BO:App is already so incredibly unbalanced? Also, does staff care so little about the breed-only community that this was mentioned in a tiny bullet point under "Other Updates"? And why are breed-only base colors the only options for gorilla enclave apps in the poll? Can we please stop turning breed only bases into applicable markings? Please, poor sepia and kimanjano's markings have already been ruined. So disappointing - though I've come to expect that from dev updates now, unfortunately. 13 players like this post! Like? |

I wonder why Elysian is up on the poll, there's already an Elysian Feline applicator in Enclave/Referrals - there's way too many new colors to consider to add a repeated color?.. Was it forgotten that its already a color found on their applicators?  Can I get admin/moderator reply?
