A buffalo scrotum or at least a grain of paradise is always recommended! You don't have to, but most people ibf every hybrid litter as you will gain one extra heat vs. if you don't ibf every litter. A lion scrotum will not work, and lion meat just increases the chances of random muts, not a pon/gon, hope this helps!

The only things recommended for a hybrid heat is
1: A buffalo scrotum or a grain of paradise (the budget version)
2: Fertility increasing items as needed (Chasteberries, Black Stallion, Angelic Blessing)
3: an Instant Cub Delivery, if only to squeeze out an extra heat from your hybrid.

Lion scrotums cannot be used on hybrids, and Lion Meat does not help with passing at all - it only boosts the chance of random mutations.

With hybrid breeding, recommended items are:

Buffalo scrotum (gaurantees 3 cubs)
Grain of paradise (gaurantees 2 cubs)

reason being that the hybrid chance rolls per cub. IBFing each litter is also good as it gives an extra heat.
Lion scrots don't work on hybrids, lion meat only increases chance of random mutations & not the chance to pass

Using CRB on a hybrid is strongly advised against as it could kill a hybrid cub.
