Cats can have an underbite, so their lower jaw is slightly extended out showing their bottom teeth! It should be only a small/mild underbite that can act kind of like an amp since in cats, the underbite is mild in kittens and gets worse as they get older. the idea is the underbite will develop from birth, only being a bit visible then getting more pronounced as it ages, since the fangs are failing to be aligned correctly. This could affect the cub's life span due to it having difficulty eating, so it'd be similar to blind/deaf mutated lions.
I suggest the lion could die around 4-5 years since the underbite would've gotten worse, making it near impossible to eat and giving it jaw discomfort.

[CUB NAME] is trying to tussle with some other cubs, but they cant seem to get a grip with their mutated fangs!

[CUB NAME] looks particularly mad at you. But you can't really take them seriously because of the way their little teeth stick out from their maw as they glare at you grumpily.

You notice [CUB NAME] sitting down staring at the ground sulkily. You ask them what happened, and they said another cub had been teasing them, and said they look stupid. Aww. You reassure them that they look very clever, and their bottom teeth make them look STRONG!

[Cub] keeps biting the older cubs and trying to bonk them with their chin. Is that allowed?

You go to check on [cub] only confined them staring down a zebra leg and licking their muzzle longingly.

You wake up to [Cub] asking if you could chew their food for them. Ew. You somehow agree because... who could say no to that face?

You walk over to check on [lion] and see them furiously whacking a young tree with their paws! They seem to want to compensate for their lack of biting skills, and are working on building leg muscles. Maybe you can direct them to that egg yolk guy.

You're woken up by [lion] for the third night in a row. They're complaining about sore teeth again.. you want to send them away, but the look on their pained face is too much to bear.


[Possible death messages IF lion dies early?]

[Lion] is going around offering their food to pridemates! You ask them about it later and they say chewing hurts their jaw too much, so they just won't eat. Uh oh.

Maybe it has a small-to-medium debuff in the strength or stamina stats since a lion w/ an underbite would have more trouble biting and holding onto stuff?

I like the idea. Maybe it could be a mutation that is like an offshoot/fail mutation from breeding Primals? They've all got funky jaws (compared to a standard lion anyway) and it could be a "Well you didn't get a primal but this kid with a primal parent has a goofy jaw now." Sort of deal. -laemiri

Maybe it could have a specific issue where it gets more hungry than other lions, since they can't eat well? Like instead of their hunger dropping by 10%, it'd be like 15% or smth?
