I just kinged my cub, Lydion, and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to tell me how to enhance his popularity in the stud department!

This is what he looks like without decor:

His Genes are:

Base:Decennial (White Skin)
Genetics:Red Light Solid Special
Eyes: White
Mane Colour: Styx
Mutation: Piebald (Ticked)
Markings:

Slot 1: Dawn Flare (53%) Tier 3
Slot 2: Prismatic Valiant (85%) Tier 3
Slot 3: Neutron Flare (100%) Tier 3
Slot 4: Blood Moon Reverse Vitiligo Mash (37%) Tier 3
Slot 7: Dawn Shine (19%) Tier 3

I'd appreciate any advice!

Hello!,

So a few things stand out to me. First, looks wise, you have a great start to a colorbomb. While colorbombs aren't my personal taste, they're popular and they are that way for a reason! In the looks department, I would paly around in the wardrobe and see what marks you like. You could attempt an RMA project as well, but those can be VERY hit or miss. You may be best off finding some complementary applicator marks from upcoming event shops.

Second, what are your goals within lioden? Do you just want to breed the prettiest lions possible? Do you want high statters? Do you just want your lions to be ask marketable as possible?

If it's the last of those, you'll want to focus on short generations and clean lines. I'll post some links to the several varieties of clean breeding below. Most want to see none of the OG Big Four, and no inbreeding- also called "squeaky clean". More lions have been added to the list, but most of them have the OG Big Four in their heritage somewhere (Keyser Soze, Boombah, The Savannah Prince, and HOT HOT TATER TOT).

Link 1
Link 2
Link 3

These cover the basics of clean breeding as well as the history behind it and why it started. Interesting even if you choose not to go in that direction.

My steps for making your Stud more marketable would be as follows:

1. Find a low gen (2-3) CLEAN mutation replacement.
2. Add some marks. Go for a cohesive design. I like to keep my Queens/Kings at 10 marks so people don't have to buy marking slots.
3. If you can, stat grind. Mind you, I find most of lioden doesn't care too much about stats.
4. Advertise, advertise, advertise. Advertise on the Sales Chat. Make a stud page. Join Clans and advertise on their discord. Be active in chats- the "stud or crud" or "rate my king/stud" games can be great just so people LOOK at your stud.

There is for sure a market for looks reps. If mutie breeding us a goal, you have tons of options. What muts interest you most?

Besides the really sought after hybrids, I really like pies! They look the most aesthetically pleasing to me!

I love pies and patches as well. If you can, it may be worth seeking out a groupie to throw onto a side account and then investing into some GB during lioden's black friday sale. They usually (if not always) throw Muties On Demand and other goodies into that purchase.

EDIT: Otherwise, for hybrids, I'd keep a look out for people taking reservations on February heats. You can often get them for much lower cost due to Yohimbe barks being widely available. Also, keep in mind that male hybrids cannot pass their mut and can only breed to goddess fert lionesses.
