Since we have Sahara base, I decided to make two other golds that were also modelled after iconic African deserts. I would guess them to be obtainable through May groupies the same way Sahara is, and so I tried to match the 'groupie base style'. For that they're thematically cohesive with one another. I also tried to make a 'desert base' that was less typical of what that theme brings to mind out of Namib.






Kalahari is a Gold Dark or Medium Solid base modelled after the red and orange sand. It has a faint sandy crumbing pattern because this desert has lots of low gentle dunes. I guess it could also be Red Medium Solid with Sepia and Windfall.




Namib is a Gold Light Solid base modelled after the piercing white-and-orange landscape of certain arid regions of Namibia. Since Gold Light Solid is the only golden genetic category that doesn't already have a groupie base (WOW Gold has changed since 2018-2020 thank god), and Sahara right nearby there is a Gold Medium Solid, I figured another desert-themed gold slots right in.
