I hope this board works as the location for this post... I have been trying to get a custom decor submitted, and have been working on improving it with the feedback given each time. The mods are very kind and reasonable with their feedback, that is without question. It is something I am doing, or misunderstanding, with the feedback. I was wondering if anyone could help me with matching my decor better to Lioden's style, by letting me know where I am going wrong, specifically? For this, I have attached a link to Imgur with all three submission attempt pictures, and underneath each picture is a description of the feedback the moderator/s gave me. I know this is kind of an odd request to ask, but... help me figure out where I am going wrong? Does gimp say what size your canvas is in pixels? it still looks like you're working on too small of a canvas. Anatomy wise it looks roughly the same to me 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I am not sure. I think GIMP does, but to be honest, I am very unfamiliar with everything, term wise and alternative term wise, that I see in that program - so I added pictures of the size read outs to the new image on Imgur. Maybe the pictures can explain it better than I could, because I don't know what area I should be typing the new numbers in. (X? Y?, Width? Height?). Imgur Link to Newest Version Oh, and I lengthened his legs by about half again their length, but they are mostly obscured by the whisper mist. I also broadened the base of his jaw and narrowed his cheek bones - I still have more to do with proportions. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ahh so your canvas size looks fine but it looks like you're still working with the picture very small, like you haven't resized it to fill up the new canvas? You'll want to use transform tool (or lasso/rectangle with dotted border) to select and resize the background and art to fill up the canvas. It will make your drawing look incredibly fuzzy, so you'll have to redraw the whole thing over it(reduce all the current layers to a lower opacity and then draw the new art on new layers) but that should help with the resolution and pixelation 1 player likes this post! Alright, I'll try that. Thank you so much! I thought the lasso tool only allowed you to move one section to another section without size changes, so I haven't done much with it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Do you think "Scale Layer" is the same thing? It doesn't seem to work with this type of thing that looks kind of like a lasso but is not called Lasso select or anything similar, but instead was "elliptical select". 0 players like this post! Like? |
