Most people know of the SB cap for gaining currency from Explore, but for those who aren't aware - you cannot gain SB from exploring or battling if you have over 5000 SB on your account. That includes bundles and active trades with SB offered, but does NOT include offers on other players' trades or currency located on a linked account. (Please let me know if I forgot anything on either list or am incorrect about something!) 5000 SB is... not a lot. Ever since I linked my accounts, I transfer all of my SB between accounts each time I explore. On average I'd say I gain 200-300 SB per account per day purely from explore encounters and battles. It is very little on its own (lol don't get me started on that), but if I sell a few items I can easily get 5000 SB within a few days. For me, the SB cap is not a huge problem. More of an annoyance, really. But, I can imagine how much tougher saving SB for a project would be for players who keep one account frozen or are limited to only one account due to household size or personal choice. They're essentially forced to buy GB at whatever the selling rate is just to maintain an SB amount lower than 5000, just so they can get SOMETHING from exploring. Especially rough during high GB prices or extreme market fluctuation (GB priced between 1000-1300 SB on the same day, for example). I understand the purpose of having a cap in the first place, but I can't help but feel that it's a bit pointless if there are workarounds to avoid it, such as linked account transfers, which is unfairly crippling to players with one account by comparison. Personally, I think 50000 SB is a perfectly reasonable cap to have. Maybe even 100000. Most players probably won't accumulate that much before spending it, so it would really only affect the uber-rich as well as currency hoarders at that point. That said, if most people feel that 50000 would be too high, 20000 seems ok to me as well. ---------------- My other suggestions: Masterpost here |

Yes pls. The cap is not the best. Especially since I mostly gain sb through exploring or selling. It's not like I stockpile the sb since studding is expensive. It would just be nice to have more of a lining in my pocket so stud costs don't make me go broke as easily. 3 players like this post! Like? |

I for one really enjoy [♰] Yharnam (#112370) sb sink options aswell. Not everyone is going to try their luck with RMA's, and would be fairly popular imo The cap is just kinda annoying, I keep one account under 5000 sb and then just transfer sb where needed 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support! Didn't even know there was an SB cap, as I spend SB pretty regularly that I'm always under 5k SB. Though now when I'm close to 5k SB, I just end up converting it to GB so I can continue to get SB in Explore. It'll be such a hassle to transfer SB from account to account, which I considered doing for a time. I feel like removing the cap or raising it higher to 50k or 100k is pretty reasonable. Why so low at only 5k? 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I feel like it may have been implemented at a low amount when the game first started, but now that there are more SB sinks and items costing more SB, as well as the GB conversion rate being 800-1200 SB usually, it's a bit outdated at this point. 5000 SB is enough for 10 Opal Saltlicks at 500 SB each, 5 Monkey Business backgrounds at 1000 SB each, or 2 Marking Opacity Changers at 1800 SB each - 3 would cost 5400. The worst example is Total Shuffle being in Monkey Business for 30000 SB, which is 6 times higher than the cap. :l (I know it's basically half priced in Oasis at 15 GB, but even then, 15000 SB is still triple 5000.) 0 players like this post! I supported this a while ago, but just coming back to bump and say that I think they've actually lowered the amount...! I am now getting the dreaded "As your teeming bundle of silver beetles grows, the excess scurry off into the distance before you can catch them." message at 4,000 0 players like this post! Like? I don't - maybe it was a small glitch on my end Hopefully so! Edit: Turns out there was 1000sb I offered on a trade that had been sitting for several days without being accepted or rejected, so I completely forgot about it - I feel so silly But I'm still glad to help bump / hopefully bring attention to the thread! 1 player likes this post!
