I see what you’re trying to say! I kinda just wish there was an implement on lion information/details that tells you what generation it is so that we wouldn’t have to go scrolling and searching and clicking on links consistently to figure out the generation. Lineage has been a factor to sales for years on LD! Wolvden implemented it I think LD should too.

Unfortunately, it isn't an option too, because you can find only lions with the certain word in their name, not player's nickname. So there's only 50 results of lions with "G1" in their names. 1000(+) players with "G1" in nickname are in the search for members, but you can't filter them (if you need specific marking/base/...), so it's useless :(

at that point the best solution is to have an option to search heritage, which is already suggested. So im confused on your suggestion.

I thought you were suggesting to be able to search names that may hint at gen 1 lions with the ability to search upon other options. If that is the case then this is already implamented.

If your suggestion is to allow the ability to search generation, that is suggested multiple times elsewhere.

If it is not any of the above I ask that you please explain further?

I suggested it because this function existed and I actively used it. I loved it: it helped me a lot to search stud quickly.

Em, where is it implanted? You can't search by both username and any other filters as before.

As I said it in first post, I don't think we will ever have search by heritage. It's difficult to code, probably it requires to change heritage system, so I just want the function to return.

I think this idea is basically adding a filter for the PLAYER's name to the main lion search page, so you can combine it with other normal lion search filters too, is that right?

So for instance if you wanted to search for G1 studs you could search 'G1' in the player's name field, and find any studs where the owner had put G1 their own name (as is relatively commonly done). And then you add more filters e.g. adding a specific base/marking/etc that you're looking for. So you could find for instance all Witch based studs with dawn eyes, where the player's name also contains G1. Meaning they'd be likely to be 1st gen studs. The current search options don't allow for that specific combination of functions because the player search is separate from lion search these days.

This isn't something I'd have any use for personally, and I'm not really a fan of people putting stud info in their name because it just feels like annoying advertising to me tbh. But I do see what you mean by this and that it might help some players. I don't agree that a heritage search would be a good alternate solution for this either. As always gets mentions on those types of suggestions, I just cannot see how a heritage search would work. The amount of lions it would require checking for each search - in some cases through incredibly long heritages that go back years and are always increasing as time goes on - just seems totally impractical. This is a much more basic addition, albeit limited since it relies on what people have in their player names.

And I believe it is against liodens TOS to put advertisements in your lions name? Not sure tho, but if thats the case them it is worthless anyways.

Wolvden has a heritage search so it is most defiantely possible. To me this seems like a cut work way to fix the issue. I personally think that there should be an option to select "clean", "dirty", or "no heritage".

The rule is a bit strange. You can list traits from your stud in your name, but you can't add something like "stud" to it iirc. Which... Whatever lol

I think searching heritage might be better, but I don't see why they couldn't necessarily do this too

I feel this should only be implemented if the generation search feature suggestion is scrapped, as this would give a better alternative to fix the main issue—finding the generation of studs.

Yes, you said it better than I! And I am agree with you, I don't like this notes in nicknames, at least for aesthetics reasons, then advertisement reasons. But it was the only way to quickly navigate in kings search with heritage criteria. Heritage isn't major function in Lioden; G1 studs for hardmod players and clean studs for clean breeders have special value though!

I support search by heritage suggestion, no matter is there or not chance for it to be released! But Lioden isn't Wolvden, there are different codes, different systems of many things, so I see no reason to make a comparison. We can't say that it can be easily realised as in new Wolvden, where many functions were envisaged from early beginning. Thank you for mentioning TOS, now it makes sense for me why this search function was probably removed!

I get that but i still think it is plenty manageable. Heritage may not have an in game function, but as you said it does play a major part in a lot of peoples gameplay.

I still wont support unless the heritage search is rejected, but if it is ill def come back here and change!
