First you would either have to breed or purchase a Leopon, likely from another player. They’re very expensive to purchase and maintain, however. Your best bet would be to wait until February and get some barked heats from another player - you’ll see all kinds of threads once February is close.

A barked heat is a heat that requires 20 Yohimbe Barks, which are in the event shop during February. If you explore regularly it won’t be difficult to get the required items. I’d recommend finding a thread that advertises heats to a first generation hybrid l, since they have a higher chance at passing their mutation. 10% chance for a first gen, and 5% chance for lower gens.

Breeding your own Leopon without use of another player’s is very difficult. You would have to be VERY lucky and breed a first generation, which I believe has less than a 1% chance of rolling. Maybe something like 0.1% chance? It’s been awhile since I looked into it, so I could be wrong.

In my opinion, you're better off buying a hybrid. Save the items you'd use to get a barked heat and buy a hybrid outright with them instead of getting a heat. ^^ They'll inflate insanely quickly and be easily worth a hybrid. As a bonus, you get the luxury of choice!

Barked heats are too much of a gamble. You can strike big or you can get nothing and be left with a lot of wasted items. I have... experience.

The 20 barks alone will be worth a hybrid if you just save them. <3

Your best chance at getting a hybrid is to use a Grain of Paradise (guarantees 2 cubs in a litter) or a Buffalo Scrotum (guarantees 3 cubs in a litter). Lion Scrotums don’t work on hybrids, so I wouldn’t use one. You WILL need a lion scrotum if you want a chance at the dwarfism mutation to pass.

My opinion on dwarfs: don't, really. They're cute but if you're wanting a profit, you won't get it. Dwarfs cost more to breed than they make you in return. But if you just want to keep them for fun, then that's no big deal.

To breed a dwarf, you'd want a buffalo scrotum and lion scrotum.

A hybrid is a cross between two species. A leopon is a hybrid between a male leopard and female lion for example.
