Quality of Life Updates

Another update with a focus on some quality of life!

Rogue Trader

A new NPC has spotted a gap in the market and has come to trade. The Rogue Trader will appear in most event shops and in Monkey Business, and he will buy back any items that you no longer want or need.

Similarly to the Oasis purchase refunds, the item must not have been used or traded, and he will only purchase items bought within the last 1 hour. He has standards, you know.

Clan Membership Management

We have added a new section for clan owners and admins to manage memberships.

The "Accept All Requests" button has been moved, and we have added a count of how many pending applications there are.

We have also added an inactivity removal tool. You can choose between a range of days (from 30 days to a whole year) and remove any members that have been inactive for longer than that time in one* click.

For example, if you choose 180 days, it will remove from the clan any members inactive for 180 days, or longer.



* A slight caveat to "one click" - this feature will process up to 250 memberships at once. For the bigger clans who might have thousands of people to remove, this will take a considerable number of clicks - but hopefully 250 at a time is better than 1 at a time!

Shop Purchases

When you purchase items in most shops, the success message will now give a quick link to each item's page in your hoard (or their related stack if you bought more than 1). This should hopefully speed up the process of buying items and digging through your hoard to use them right away.

Threatening the Quest Snake

You can now directly threaten the Quest Snake to skip the quest from the Questing page - no need to go digging through your hoard!

Trade Adjustments

In an effort to try and make things more clear for players when deciding whether or not to make a purchase on a trade, we have added in and tweaked a few settings:



From now on, lions in trades that have the following conditions will display a badge beside their name when listed:
* Female lions that are too old to breed, now show the badge "Past Breeding Age"
* Lions that are approaching old age (and thus the risk of death from old age) now show the badge "Old Lion"
* Female lions that are still young enough to breed, but have a breeding cooldown that will end when the female is past breeding age, will show the badge "No Heats Left"

Additionally, you are no longer able to use items or adjust decors (either adding or removing) in the equipper on lions that are actively in trades.

Scars

In most areas of the site, scars get automatically deposited into your hoard as opposed to auto-equipped on your lion. Two areas of the site auto-equipped them: tussling with submales, and hunting with lionesses. We have now adjusted this so the scars get put in your hoard instead.

Pending Stud/Heat Requests

Okay, we totally get it. Everyone is busy, and it's easy to miss or forget about any stud or heat requests you might have pending. To make this easier for players on both sides, the owner of the stud (or lioness up for reverse breeding) will get notifications in their daily rollover summary, reminding them that they should accept or reject the pending requests.

Stud Search - Minimum Fertility

When searching for a stud, you are now able to filter results to only include studs that have a minimum fertility requirement based on your search.

New Category - Special Use

We have added a new category, "Special Use", for any items that have unique uses to make them more distinct from regular items in the "Other" category. This includes, but is not limited to, items like Energy Boost, Giant Tortoise, Red Bull, etc. This change is reflected in hoards as well as the Item Catalogue and shops that sell these items.

Event Crafting

The following recipes have been added to November's Fossil Restoration and can be crafted in Monkey Business with the Piety bar reaching Tier 1!

Reminder: Hiring Artist

As a reminder from Community Update #206, we're looking for an artist who can work on bases and markings for upcoming variants (mutations and poses). To trim down Xylax's work on these jobs, we need someone who can adapt their style to Lioden's art and work iteratively on thousands of files.

This will be at an agreed custom price per variant that we intend to price at around $30-40 USD per hour (this varies based on the exact section of work you would be completing on a specific day). The role will require being trained closely with Xylax to learn his processes, use his brushes, and then you will be incorporated into the art team as a whole.

This is a freelance role. You must be 18 or older.

You do not need to be a member of Lioden to apply, though it's beneficial to have knowledge on how the lion art works in the game.

To address some questions we've seen regarding a deadline, we do not currently have a deadline in mind for this position. When the position has been filled, we will announce we are no longer accepting portfolios in a future news update.
