Story Overview:
This version of Echo is an eventual mad scientist that is trying to get revenge for them and their friend group. It all started with one of their friends named Marco (who is a childhood friend that they hold very close to their heart) being heavily injured due to an attack on their village, when they brought it up to one of their leaders they were told to leave him to die which pushed them to drag Marco away to an abandoned home a little deeper into the woods.

There they started to mess around with ways to speed up his healing factor as they were afraid he wouldn't make it and as nothing seemed to work they grew anxious. In their desperate need to save Marco, they completely isolated themself leaving them to their thoughts as they spiraled deeper and deeper into increasingly darker thoughts. They would go as far as they needed to in order to save Marco and by extension the rest of their friend group who were close to the kingdom and therefore, they reasoned, in immediate danger.

Echo would take things further by kidnapping the leader who ‘ordered’ the death of Marco and proceeded to test their concoctions on him and going as far as to torture him (This would take place inside the city, in a hidden basement, far away from Marco so he could relax while recovering). This would end in his death and would kick-start Echos journey to destroy the kingdom and all of those who dare hurt their friends (in the past and present).

What they wouldn’t see, however, is that their loyalty and need for revenge was blinding them to what their friends would truly want. They became delusional, truly believing that they were doing what their friends would want and were determined to go that extra mile to make it a reality.

At some point they dragged Zyto into their mess, Zyto was in shock at what Echo was doing. Due to him caring a lot about Echo he scrambled for a reason, any reason at all, to believe that it was all for the best. And him getting involved started the beginning of the end. Fast forwarding to the end, after a massive battle to end all battles and the death of a few friends, Echo cut themself off from their friends as they decided that after all the harm and hurt they caused the group they were not worthy to call them their friends anymore.
