Nothing imo. If you make a promise it is YOUR JOB to either fufill it, or give back all assets.

An unkept promise transaction (ex, I promise that if you send me 50 GB and some breeding items I'll use them on my tigon and breed them to a stud of your choice and then send you the cubs, but instead I just keep the items and money) is a type of scam, but there are ways of scamming people without doing promise transactions. One that I've seen is people using a translucent jellyfish on their lion to hide it, and then placing a custom decor of a hybrid or other rare mutie so that it looks like that's the lion and then placing it up for sale/trade under false pretenses.

So the first option isn’t covered by the Code of Conduct, right? I’m interested in buying heats from other players and some don’t use the reverse breeding feature

It's a little unclear, but I'm certain mods will generally enforce the rules of the transaction.



This is also in the code of conduct, and I believe they will uphold this.

If it's for a full heat always use the reverse heat system (unless you have a reason not to, such as combo bases). If it's for a split heat they'll usually not use the reverse heat because it's normal for the buyer to scam via not sending the second hybrid and blocking the seller, which the mods can't do anything about either. The best you can do is look for a reputable seller. Have they sold heats before? Have they sold split heats before? What is the terms of the agreement? If you're not comfortable with the terms you do not have to buy.
