"APRIL"

"APRIL" GUIDE

Event Information
This event is highly focused on exploring.
Your lion's karma and level, as well as the biome you explore in, do not matter for this event.

The more bunnies and rabbits are slain in Explore, the faster the Bunny Shop will unlock. Slaying bunnies (also known as "fluffballs") will earn you Fluffball Points, which are automatically counted towards the Bunny Shop's unlock bar.
The more Easter Eggs are collected, the faster the Egg Den will unlock.

This month's currencies are Easter Eggs and Hare Points.
Easter Eggs are predominately gained in Explore, while Hare Points are gained from completing storyline quests. You can also earn Easter Eggs from completing storyline quests and exchange Hare Points for Easter Eggs in Wenet's Shop.

April Storyline

SMALL SUMMARY: The April storyline, introduced in 2017, is a minor addition to the April event. Within this storyline, you meet Wenet.
Like most event story lines you will do quests every day/roll-over, On the last day of the April event, April 30th, if you've completed all 10 mini-storyline quests, you will be able to claim Wenet (or one of her cousins)!

Note: You only get ONE chance at claiming Wenet or her cousin. They are able to be claimed like normal lionesses, or you can auto-claim them with 2 Gold Beetles or a Leopard Orchid.

Bunny Tunnels

Tier Three of the Bunny Shop unlocks the Bunny Tunnels feature.

The Bunny Tunnels allow you to send off your adolescent females (ages 1 year to 1 year, 11 months) in order for them to gain a small amount of experience and stats, once per day per adolescent! You can only send out one adolescent at a time, and each expedition lasts for 60 minutes.

When your adolescents return, they will gain Experience equal to their (LVL x 20 to 30) and 2 to 5 stats randomly dispersed in each category (barring Skill).

Egg Den

Tier One

Tier One of the Egg Den unlocks the Ostrich Chicks feature. Once per day, your pride leader can click the "Play Time!" button to gain Experience equal to their (LVL x 40 to 50).

Tier Two

Tier Two of the Egg Den unlocks event-exclusive NCL eyes and markings (also referred to as "April NCL eyes/markings"). These eyes and markings can be found on randomly-generated lionesses in Explore.

Tier Three

Tier Three of the Egg Den unlocks the Primordial Spring feature. Once per pride leader per account, you can choose to "Drink from the Spring..." in order to Spring Forward or Fall Behind, which will affect your current pride leader's age.

Spring Forward will age your pride leader up by 2 years, whereas Fall Behind will de-age your pride leader by 2 years.

Since this event has a a lot going on, I will be doing a part two

Event Information
This event is highly focused on exploring and community interaction.
Your lion's karma and level, as well as the biome you explore in, do not matter for this event.

In May, the community is working to unlock three tiers of one bar.
The more tournaments are participated in, the faster the Champion Shop will unlock.

This month's currencies are Manticora Beetles and Arena Tokens.
Manticora Beetles are predominately gained in Explore, but are also gained from participating in tournaments. Arena Tokens are gained by challenging other players and winning.

May Story Line

SMALL SUMMARY: The May storyline, introduced in 2017, is a minor addition to the May event. Within this storyline, you meet brothers V'Kai and Vashkartzen.
Every quest that you complete with the brothers will grant you a certain amount of Arena Tokens and Reputation with that chosen brother. Each brother has his own Reputation Shop as well as unique rewards that you can buy with Reputation. Their Reputation Shops will unlock when Tier 1 of the Champion Shop is available.

All players start off siding with V'Kai, until Chapter 2 of the storyline unlocks—from that point, you then have the choice to side with V'Kai or Vashkartzen. You are able to switch between brothers up until the end of Chapter 4, where your choice will remain permanent through the end of the May event.


V'Kai

Once you have finished Chapter 1, you are able to complete daily quests in order to receive extra rewards.

V'Kai Rewards
Arguably the best reward during May is the ability to claim groupies. Groupies are randomly-generated lions that can come with special bases, mutations, and markings (they will always come with two markings randomly placed in slots 1 to 10). All groupies are heritageless, meaning they have no heritage whatsoever, similar to Newly Claimed Lionesses. They can also only be adult lionesses or adolescent males, and you are able to influence which you receive more of based on a choice you make during the storyline. You can reset this boost at any time using a Mummified Heart, purchased from Tier One of the Champion Shop.

Vashkartzen

Once you have finished Chapter 2, if you have aligned with Vashkartzen, you are able to complete daily quests in order to receive extra rewards.

Vashkartzen's Rewards
[Energy]
One of Vashkartzen's rewards is being able to exchange Reputation for Energy, By spending 4 Reputation you will receive a protein snack from Vashkartzen which will automatically give you 25% Energy. You can purchase this reward every 2 hours.

[Train the Cubs]
The second of Vashkartzen's rewards involves exchanging Reputation for a Cub Training boost.
By spending 15 Reputation, Vashkartzen will help with your Cub Training! He will boost each training session by 5% and does not mind how many Cubs per day you want to train

[Reputation Shop]
In addition to spending your Reputation on Vashkartzen's rewards, you can also spend them in his Reputation Shop! The shop is unlocked when Tier 1 of the Champion Shop is available.

Challenges

Challenges can be accessed from the Event page, where you can see something that looks a bit like the below.

Challenges can only be done once every 15 minutes, and you can only challenge one person at a time if they are online. If the player you have challenged does not respond within 15 minutes, you are free to go challenge someone else. There is also a small chance that you'll be able to sneak in and steal an Arena Token in that time!
Defending Yourself

Like sending out a challenge, you can win or lose these ones. You'll earn 1 to 4 Arena Tokens for winning, and none for losing. If you do not respond to a challenge, there is a small chance that your opponent will win an Arena Token anyway, so stay vigilant!


Battle Arenas

ach tournament consists of 8 lions fighting each other in matched battles. Once the 8th lion enters, the tournament runs. Each tournament has 3 rounds of battles - quarter finals, semi finals, and then the final. The winners from each round will battle until a final winner is chosen.

While your pride leader's stats do not matter for challenges, they are important when it comes to the Battle Arena. The higher your stats, the better your chances are of winning against the other lions you're up against; however, keep in mind that there is also a luck factor in play. This luck factor is intended to assist players that are towards the lower end of a stat tier so that they have a chance to win in one of the tournaments, rather than losing against everyone else.

To prevent lower-statted lions from being pitted against bloodthirsty beasts with thousands of stats, the Battle Arena is divided into several different tiers, based upon a lion's total stat count.

Event Information
This event is highly focused on exploring. The explore encounters exclusive to this month can be found in all biomes.
There are no bars to unlock during this event. Rather, this event is focused on a storyline that unlocks on certain dates. This storyline is foreshadowed by the earthquake explore flavour text encountered during May's event. If you choose to start the June storyline, the earthquakes will stop. If you do not start the storyline, you will continue to encounter the earthquakes, as well as typical year-round explore options.

This month's currency is
Khepri Beetles.
Khepri Beetles can be gained in Explore by battling Chthonic Snakes with your battle buddy, which is a feature that unlocks in Chapter 2 of the storyline.
June Story Line

SMALL SUMMARY: The current June storyline, introduced in 2018, was implemented as a rehaul of the old June event, The Floods. Within this new storyline, you meet the Egyptian Gods Anubis, Bast, and Seth, who require your help to defeat Apophis, the Serpent of Chaos. As of 2023, you will also meet Thoth, Horus, and Khnum, depending on which deity you chose to align yourself with.

Anubis & Thoth

If you chose to follow along the storyline with The God Anubis you will have exclusive access to the Temple of Anubis, you will also have access to the explore encounters and The Shrine of Thoth.

Forbidden Temple

In order to purchase items from the Forbidden Temple, you will need to convert your on-hand Chaos Snake Scales into Chaos Scales via a special button below the description of the Forbidden Temple. Doing so will turn the items into a non-transferable currency exclusively used in the Forbidden Temple; each Chaos Scale equals one (1) Chaos Snake Scale.

The following applicators are exclusive to the Forbidden Temple.

Event Information
This event is highly focused on battling and exploring. The explore encounters exclusive to this month can be found in all biomes, as well as within Celestial Explore.
In July, the community is working to unlock three tiers of one bar, which reveal three different areas on the site: the Draco Demiurge Exchange, the Celestial Raffle, and the Celestial Portal.

This month's currency is.....

Axion Cores, Meteorite Shards, and Silver Beetles.
Axion Cores can be gained in Celestial Explore, which uses up Meteorite Shards to explore. Meteorite Shards and Silver Beetles can both be gained in regular Explore. Silver Beetles can also be earned in various ways around the site, including playing games and selling items.

SMALL SUMMARY: The July narrative, launched in 2017, expands upon the July event and the non-player characters encountered during that time: Apedemak, Apollyon, and Menhit. Tefnut was introduced as a new NPC encountered within the storyline.

Veil Nebula Exchange

The Veil Nebula Exchange is one of July's three event shops. To unlock it, defeat 5 boss enemies in the Veil Nebula zone of Celestial Explore. All items in this shop require
Axion Cores. Access it through the Draco Demiurge Exchange to track your progress and see how many Veil Nebula bosses remain to defeat for shop access.

Draco Demiurge Exchange

The Draco Demiurge Exchange is one of three event shops for July. This shop is opened by reaching Tier 1 of the "Meteorite Shards collected" bar. Everything in this shop costs Axion Cores.

Tefnut's Memories

Tefnut's Memories is one of three event shops available in July, located on the Event page alongside other unlockable areas. To unlock the temple, a collaborative community effort is necessary. The temple must be fully constructed before it can be opened, requiring players to donate or crafting materials for its completion. The total resources needed to unlock the temple amount to 404,404. Everything in this shop is purchasable using Silver Beetles.

Celestial Raffle


To unlock the Celestial Raffle, reach Tier 2 of the "Meteorite Shards collected" bar. Once unlocked, your pride leader can visit to impress Celestial Lionesses from outer space. These lionesses introduce new breed-only bases, eyes, and markings into the population.

Each lioness is available for 12 hours and requires a fee of
5 Axion Cores for your attempt to impress her. They change at 12:00am and 12:00pm Lioden time. This schedule remains independent of when the Celestial Raffle tier unlocks. For instance, if the tier unlocks at 11:58am Lioden time, the current Celestial Lioness remains until replaced at 12:00pm Lioden time, just two minutes later.

Celestial Raffle

The Celestial Portal is opened by reaching Tier 3 of the "Meteorite Shards collected" bar. Once it is unlocked, you are able to send up to 44 lions through the portal per rollover in order to earn various rewards.

Sending lions through the portal permanently deletes them from the game. Secure any lions you wish to keep, as this action is irreversible. Lions must meet specific conditions to be eligible for portal transfer: not pregnant, nursing cubs, in reverse breeding, set as a broodmother, offered in trade or raffle, on trade cooldown, frozen, secured, hunting, or patrolling. Cubs cannot be relinquished; if a lioness has cubs, she remains considered nursing until a 5-day cooldown passes.

Event Information
This event is highly focused on exploring. In August, the community is trying to unlock two bars that reveal different areas on the site. To speed up unlocking the exclusive August studs, we need to kill more humans in Explore. Collecting more Dry Bones in Explore will help us unlock The Peddler faster.

There are also two separate shops that open based on your actions in Explore: The Destroyers (for Evil actions) and The Preservers (for Good actions). You unlock these shops by earning 300 Evil Points for The Destroyers or 300 Good Points for The Preservers. You can only have one shop open at a time, but you can open each shop multiple times on your account. If your points drop below 300, you'll need to reach the threshold again to access the shop.

This month's currencies are Carrion Beetles and Dry Bones, which you can collect in Explore or by playing Fire Escape. Some encounters will give you more Carrion Beetles, while others give more Dry Bones.


Thirst-Quenching Items
In August, there’s a temporary Thirst bar that shows your lion’s energy, hunger, experience, and impression. Thirst only impacts your pride leader, not the other pride members.

Your lion's Thirst decreases by 5% every 30 minutes and can also drop from some event encounters. Fortunately, you can increase Thirst through specific event encounters and by using water items that are available year-round.

If your lion's Thirst reaches 100%, they won’t die, but you won’t be able to fight NPCs in Explore. If you try to battle an NPC with 100% Thirst, you will see this error message.

Failed Hunts
August is an extremely hot month, and your lionesses are feeling the heat. Prey is harder to find due to the scarce water, as herds are migrating in search of it. As a result, your lionesses are more likely to return from hunting without any prey.

Fire Escape
Fire Escape is an endless runner minigame available only during August’s event. In this game, you control a male lion trying to escape a fire that's destroying his home. You must avoid obstacles, collect Carrion Beetles, and as you score points and progress, the lion's speed increases!

You can submit your score once a day to earn up to 200 Carrion Beetles and 100 Dry Bones daily. If you play every day and reach the maximum score, you could earn around 6,000 Carrion Beetles and 3,000 Dry Bones over the month! Scores reset at midnight (12am) Lioden time, not at rollover (2:05am).

The Preservers

The Preservers is one of three event shops for August. You can access this shop by performing enough Good actions to fill the "Good Karma" bar. Items in this shop are purchased with Carrion Beetles.

The Peddler


The Peddler is one of August’s three event shops, unlocked by the community collecting Dry Bones in Explore. All items in this shop cost Dry Bones.

Since 2018, unlocking The Peddler also awards the "Bone Collector" title and achievement upon your first visit. This can be earned only once per account.
The Peddler Shop offers items such as..


as well as a variety of carcasses.

Vulture Chase & Tracking Herds

For 5 Dry Bones, you can send your adolescent females on a Vulture Chase, a mini-game available through The Peddler. Each adolescent can participate once per rollover, with each chase lasting 60 minutes. Only one adolescent can go on a chase per session, so choose carefully!

At the end of the session, the adolescent will gain 50 Experience and 2 to 5 random stats.


For 50 Dry Bones, your pride leader can track herds to earn Experience once per rollover. The Experience gained is calculated as (LVL x 30). For example, a level 5 lion will earn 150 Experience, while a level 20 lion will receive 600 Experience.

Savage Males
Savage Males (also called "August Studs," "Maneater Studs," or "Savage Studs") are unlocked by the community's effort in Explore.

You can stud your lionesses to these NPCs for 200 Dry Bones or 600 Carrion Beetles. They offer exclusive bases, mane shapes, and markings, but breeding with them doesn’t guarantee offspring will inherit these traits.

You cannot use breeding items on Savage Males. However, using cub guarantee items with a Double Uterus lioness can pass on some of the Savage Male’s genetics.

The available Savage Male changes at 2:05am Lioden time, cycling through all unique studs until August ends.

You can breed any eligible lioness (in heat, at least 1% fertility, aged 2-14 years) with the Savage Males, provided you have enough currency.
