...Well, I don't know what you're thinking. But! Here's what I'm thinking.

Claiming lionesses in explore should have a chance to give a Heart Shell.

There is a specific lioness-claiming encounter already this month that gives a Heart Shell if the claiming is successful, so the possibility (probably) exists, coding-wise.


Of course, that gives a Heart Shell every time, which would probably be devastating to some kind of market if every claimed NCL gave one that month. So, I think a rate of 25-33% would be better. That would be somewhere between 1 in 4, or 1 in 3 NCLs. Maybe even lower.

My main reason for this is that currently, one of - if not THE - top strategies this month is this:
> Change personality to Hyperactive (30% energy boost, that's good, yeah)
> Use Roasted Lambs (double energy, yeah!)
> Use Bone Marrow/Energy Boosts/Meat Pie (of course, of course)
> Use Hyena Butter to minimize the amount of lionesses you find (ye- wait what)

In the BREEDING month, it's SUBOPTIMAL to claim lionesses (to breed, or whatever) in your pride. That's WACK, yo.

Heart Shells are a hot commodity within the actual lion world during the month of February. So many encounters' NPCs give your main lion Heart Shells because he or she is just that damn amazing and charming. Yet, within this world, pretty much 99% of the claimable lionesses that you find don't have any connection to them at all. Have they been living under a rock? It's common courtesy to give a Heart Shell to such a wonderful, handsome lion! Almost everyone else in the world does!


Some of you may be curious about whether I have an actual ulterior motive. It's true - and it has a greedy origin too My main lion (on both of my accounts) has the Candid personality. For those unaware, Candid gives +3% energy for every NCL claimed. So if any sort of actual monetary buff was added to claiming NCLs, I would really benefit from it. Everyone could, though, theoretically. Candid is a rather affordable personality to acquire, costing only the 400 SB for a Sangoma Lion Mask from the Personality Snake.

I will acknowledge that this would probably heavily swing the "meta" in the Candid direction and away from Hyperactive for many users, so that could be a possible reason why this might be unwise to implement. Favoring one personality so hard over others is a bit unfair to the other personalities who feel a little left out, I suppose.

But still, it would be a nice fit thematically. Claimable lionesses appear to every player, unless their pride is literally full, so it would benefit just about everyone. And who couldn't use more breeding items? :P
