My double mottled Bandit project has officially SUCKED me pretty much dry of Gnawrocks and Saltlicks. My buffies are long gone. Any GOPs I had are now but a whisper.

I'm over it.



I began this project on a mere dream, to be The Bandit Person™. Just a regular ol' average player with a very noticeable hyperfixation towards a base. I was fresh off a year/year-and-a-half long hiatus, so I was still refamiliarizing myself with the markings Eventually I settled on trying to breed a Bandit with both Mottled Rosette and Mottled Stripes, with Daisy eyes, Tsavo Briar mane, and Quail skin. RMA everything else into a fully BO king. With Iriandel, I was able to get as far as everything except Mottled Stripes.

It's been too long, with too little results on all of these high value breedings. I've lost my passion. My drive. My reason to play Lioden. My sense of purpose has faded. There is no light--



Ok, it's not that deep :V Just got bored of it. Enough GB has been sunken into this project, but at least it was fun while it lasted. I have only one regret: my FUCKING MONEY

Now, I begin anew. I've decided to look to the past, back to when I first came back from my hiatus in late 2020 or so. There were a number of bases that had been introduced that I absolutely loved (Bandit, Ukame, Scoundrel, Leonid, Stratosphere, and Haze were up there), but decided against breeding due to their genetics groups. I was used to breeding Red Light Countershaded, as my queen at the time was a Sunrise base, so I didn't want to stray too far from that base group. I loved (and still do love!) Maroon and Fiery as fails, and I didn't really like gold or cream ones outside of Goridhe. Bandit happened to be cute AND from the same genetics group as Sunrise, so it was perfect! Hyperfixation acquired.

Years passed, and over time I've learned a lot about breeding. It doesn't matter which genetic group my lions are if I want to pass a specific special base. And really, that's what I care about most when I choose a base for my main lion to have. So now, I feel comfortable to let go of it all. It's attached to too many bad memories of disastrous financial decisions.

So I'm changing it up, baby! It's UKAME time now.


I want to keep the double mottled aspect of my project, and both of those markings look decent on Ukame - maybe not at full opacity, but they wouldn't be ugly on Ukame like they would on Jellyfish! The base is unnatural enough to stand out, but not to an extreme extent; I am keeping my colorful vomit lions restricted to my other account. As an added bonus, Ukame is a combo factor for Majivu, which I also love visually. I swear to God if Bandit gets to be a combo factor as soon as I get rid of it-

Overall, I haven't quite settled on all of the specific traits I want to breed. This is my current plan:

Ukame base
Bunting skin
Dove eyes - would also be happy enough with Draconid
Tsavo mane
PEARL mane color(?)
And of course, Mottled Rosette and Mottled Stripes

Also, what the hell am I gonna change my name to? Lmao. I'll miss being Bandit Gambit, but if there aren't any Bandits being Gambited, it feels weird.
