Perhaps I'm biased because I have an above average number of lions, but my Daily Rollover Summary message is... super long. I constantly have 50-100 lions at risk of leaving each day from hunger, which is tedious to scroll through. The pending stud request addition they made in the middle of November was a very welcome change, but admittedly, I don't even scroll that far down most days. I'm sure there are other players who don't look at their full rollover summary because it's filled with so much to scroll through. I'd like to rework the Rollover Summary a bit. Daily Breeding Summary > Pending stud requests at the TOP for maximum visibility > Pending lionesses in heat with reverse heat requests (if applicable) > List of Lionesses in heat (+ how many days are left?) > Lions that gave birth First of all, I would put anything pertaining to other players seeking a service right up at the top for maximum visibility. I'm super afraid of somehow missing that I have a stud request due to mass branch notifications or something burying the stud notification while I was asleep. I would hate to feel ignored, even if it's ultimately accidental. :( I'd also like to add a new, never-before-seen section: "Lionesses in heat". Just, a clickable list right in one spot would be super convenient. Right now I go to Pride Overview and select "Lionesses in heat" to get them all sorted, and it's easy enough to do it that way... but like, why do in 4 steps what I could do in 1 step? Daily Pride Summary > Lions that aged up > Number of lions and number of lionesses aging up if pride is about to overflow > Lions that left > Lions that may leave soon This is essentially what's left of the Daily Rollover Summary when you remove the breeding stuff. If I'm missing something, let me know! Personally, I'm not concerned about inbox clutter with this. The notifications inbox is a bottomless pit, so it won't prevent anyone from getting any more messages. And since the notifications would arrive at the same time, it isn't going to be twice as bothersome to receive. Perhaps people who would prefer to scroll through a single notification might dislike a second notification to click, but I feel at this point that there's too much information to put into a single message. In certain cases (like mine or even a larger extent) it can get extremely long and hard to skim through for adolescents in particular. I can't tell who's aging and who's just leaving from hunger/mood. ---------------- Suggestion by Fraekinn (#57572) to just reorganize the order everything is listed in the summary. ---------------- My other suggestions: Masterpost here |

I'm a little bummed since this has more downvotes, because I actually quite like this ;; I have felt for a long time that the daily summary could use a rework and that id love heats/days left in heat/girls coming into heat *next rollover* to be added onto daily summaries. I think what everybody dislikes is that it'd be two messages, so what if the daily summary just had two halves to it? Maybe if it wasn't too much coding work the breeding summary and pride summary could have clickable jumps in the page, or every part of the summary could have a drop down menu? 1 player likes this post! Will have to say no support; Wolvden uses several messages per rollover and I must say its suuuuuuuper annoying to have to click several messages, when it could have all been put into one message. Having it all listed in one message is convenient, all information is there and accessible in one click, just scroll down to the needed part. If it was broken into two, I will for sure keep missing information because it was on the other message. Its not the matter of having to click an extra message even but the one of Forgetting to check the other one. I constantly miss which wolves gave birth on Wolvden because "Pups born" have separate notifications rather than being put into one main notification, and I simply forget which ones are which, because they're all in separate notifications. 2 players like this post! Could you elaborate about missing the pups born notification? I don't play wolvden so I don't know how they do their notifications. Wouldn't unread notifications still be marked as unread so you'd know which ones you've clicked? Since that's how it works on Lioden, I don't really know how the second message would be forgotten about as it would still show as unread. Ah shit, replied from the wrong account. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 21/01/24 @ 14:12:06 by Bandit Gambit [G1, Project] (#98263) |

Very simple; when you get a ton of notifications, you just click through them to make them stop appearing as unread. And then you have to dig through all of them trying to find the information you need, because reading 5 different messages in separate tabs is extremely inconvenient. The more messages there are, the more inconvenient it gets. Its currently convenient; you can click on your rollover summary and know that all information is there. You dont have to remember which info is where. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Maybe that's why I don't have a problem with it, I don't click on most of my notifications to make them go away haha. Thank you for your input. I do wish the damn thing was tidier though. Maybe, one rollover message but each section is collapsed and can be expanded? I just hate that I have to scroll SO much to get to the information I care about. 1 player likes this post! Like? Maybe or perhaps even a simple coding box for each section would already break it into neat blocks for easier navigation 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think reorganizing the single message might be a more popular suggestion. Most important things on top and the monster lists of lions on the bottom? Plus more coding like Mad Hyena suggested, maybe? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm happy as long as stud requests are on top and lion links are added tbh :P I'd like my notifications split into 2 separate ones still, but I am apparently a minority! 0 players like this post! Like? |

You said you dont click on most of your notifications to make them go away - does that mean you just leave them sit, as untidy (XX) unread numbers? That's so ineffective no amount of changes to PMs would improve the situation, honestly 0 players like this post! Like? |

I already get really annoyed by the one rollover message, so more would make me sooo angry LOL Obviously I could adjust but I get really itchy about unread notifs and "spam" messages. Plus I'm very spacey and scattered so having them in one message is more convenient for me. I haven't had to deal with a fuckton of lions giving birth or running etc.. at once though, I keep my territories pretty small. I totally think extra coding for navigation and reorganizing would be useful though 0 players like this post! Like? |

My email is way worse :V Do you guys click on every "studding request accepted but failed" to clear it as well, or delete? I'm too lazy so I just ignore it LOL 0 players like this post! Like? |

As someone who has two prides that - other than January & February - both have over 150 lions who are always birthing/pregnant/aging up/etc I feel this is unnecessary, just scroll past the unimportant parts (the lions threatening to leave). I agree it'd just create more clutter and annoyance. It's like double texting or double posting, both nuisances. One more note: server space? There's a reason we're limited to 200 inboxes. You're currently suggesting that 3000 users [2942 at time of this edit] (which will most likely double, if last feb was anything to go by) receive 2 server-generated messages each? 6000-12000 messages a day? Don't you think RO takes long enough? Another edit: for those who aren't awake/around when Lioden Rolls, rollover initiates at 2:05am, but you're lucky if you can click the button before 2:18-2:20am normally, and then you have to wait for it to process your rollover. 0 players like this post! Not to argue your overall point which is valid, but the number of users that log on throughout the day shouldn't affect RO times other than the number of people actively trying to log on AT rollover, right? The message(s) generate when each player actually does their roll. 0 players like this post! Like? |

The messages I suspect all generate on mass - which is why there's been a very gradual uptick in how long rollover takes. There's the "whole site" rollover at 2:05 which prepares everybody's rollover, regardless of when they log on - its why no one can press the button until its all ready. Edit: The reason I suspect this is because if I roll one account for example, then transfer a lion to an unrolled one, it doesn't age twice - which is why I suspect its all done in one go site-wide. The messages kind of just sit there server-side until the buttons pressed. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 21/01/24 @ 16:47:44 by Fraekinn [Full BO 7xSeal] (#57572) |

Maybe to confirm that I'll have to find a low mood lion that'll run away the next time it's rolled, then mood boost it with clan powers on my other account until it has enough mood to not run before I roll the account it's on. The summary shouldn't include it if it's generated at the time of individual rollover. If that makes sense. I feel like it'd be strange to generate them all at the same time for each player, regardless of if they roll over, as that's like 400000 messages to generate each day 0_0 0 players like this post!
