Very, very pretty base, but I don't support it mainly because all (but interstellar), are BO bases or Combo bases, which already are pretty hard to acquire as is. Maybe just one BO base x a different base, rather than a series of BO/Combo bases to get another combo base.

This alone is the only reason I say no, because alone it is a gorgeous base as is!

I did want to add less BO as factors, but unfortunately there weren't many similar bases to Neptunic in the genetics pool I had in mind for it :')

If you look here, most of the applicable bases in Black Solid Dark do not resemble Neptunic at all. If you go here, to see bases in black Countershaded that could potentially be a different factor, it's the same case. I could potentially switch out one of the two factor 1s for Ice and / or Penumbra, (which I may do), but I can't really picture those combining with Nadir, Leonid, or Interstellar to produce something akin to Neptunic.

If it will help increase support rates, however, do you have any ideas for alternative factors? ^^ I did purposefully want to make half / the majority breed-only to preserve rarity, but here's another factor set I could reason with:

Factor 1
[Jellyfish, Elysian, Ice, Korat]

X
Factor 2
[Nadir, Interstellar, Haruspex]


This would leave it at a nearly even number of three breed-only factors, and four applicable factors. I'm not too big a fan of Korat as a factor, but it is custom and would make Neptunic a bit easier to breed for.
Jellyfish and interstellar are bases I'm not really wanting to negotiate on, in my opinion they make the most sense. ^^ Neptunic would get it's galactic, sparkly and starry theme from interstellar, and the majority of it's colour from Jellyfish.
I'd also preferably like Nadir to stay, someone else recommended it and I think it is the perfect navy-blue colour.

I do see the genetic standpoint I really do, and I do believe Nadir and Interstellar are PERFECT factor combs, and I do agree with them staying, more uncommon/rare bases would also liven it up. I do wish we could see more uncommon/rare purple bases, like even a rare BO base could be nice thrown in (not for yours I'm just saying in general we need more purple that isn't strictly BO or Apps)

But I definitely do like Korat being thrown in, I was trying to think of some more bases that would fit in, jellyfish is hard to breed, but I cannot argue that the color ties in, because it really does. I was going to suggest Divine, but it has more orange/cream coloration to it. Korat or Maltese were actually going to be one of the bases I was gonna suggest, but overall, like I said, gorgeous color and gorgeous base. The only reason I brought up the factors was because of our newest combo base Witch. It involves a lot of BO/Combos and it's hard to get. I myself and slowly starting to work on making bases so I do see the appeal for more BO/Combo only bases for factors, but as someone who breeds for simpler combos it seems like a lot of currency would be put towards trying to breed a lion with an almost unattainable base.

Your insight has genuinely been incredibly helpful, and I thank you so much for being kind and gentle about it, because a lot of people aren't when it comes to 'constructive' criticism on Lioden.

I 100% get where you're coming from when pointing to the Witch base. I definitely would not want Neptunic to be like that, I want it to be rare enough to be a challenging breed, but in a fun way. I don't want it to be so incredibly hard to achieve that people just give up. I have the base genetics wiki pulled up in another tab right now, and looking through, Maltese was definitely one that caught my eye as a potential Custom base factor. Blue Poinsettia is a special, but I think it could definitely also work as a factor 1 considering it is not only an applicable base, but also a fairly cheap and easy-to-come-by one. Moonstone is also a special applicator base that I think too could work!

I'm contemplating about Kunzite as well. I know it is a fan-favourite for Lioden, and my last queen had that base. My only "eh" about it is that it's so light, but mixed with Nadir, Interstellar, or Haruspex I could definitely see it working. Not to mention that Kunzite ABSOLUTELY deserves a combo, and I've seen my fellow Kunz lovers practically rioting for one.

I think what I'm going to do is come up with a couple new combo factor sets, and then add them under a spoiler in the main post labelled "alternative factors". That way, if this base were to ever be added, the devs could put up a community poll where all players can voice their own opinions on what would work best.

I have four factor sets in mind currently,
1. The original that is currently posted.
2. The alternative that I suggested to you.
3. A secondary alternative with 3-4 red-ish factors in cat.1, and 2-3 blue-ish factors in cat.2 (Since red and blue make purple. This particular hue leans more to the red side of the colour wheel, which is why red tones would make up the majority of factors.)
4. A third alternative suggestion with custom and applicator bases making up the majority of factors, and the odd breed-only and / or combo base as a factor in either / each category.

I am wanting to limit the amount of genetically light bases in this combo to a singular one, and medium bases capping at two per factor category. Any more than that and I feel like I'd have to bump the base to Black Solid Medium.

As stated before, I greatly appreciate your feedback and the delivery of it. I'm a pretty sensitive person, and a lot of people on this site tend to spew hate at me under the guise that it is 'constructive criticism', so it's really nice to see someone who genuinely wants to give advice and help, rather than stating what's wrong but not how to fix it.

Of course! And honestly that idea on Kunzite gave me a HUGE idea! But I really hope this base becomes in game, cause like I said it is gorgeous, and I can see the thought and dedication put into it!

Keep up the good work, and I hope maybe one day we can bring more purple to this blue and red world I hope others will learn to be more constructive with their criticism rather than destructive, because we're all here to learn, have fun, and create new things for game we genuinely enjoy! Thank you, and you have a nice day too! Tbh I've been wanting to make a Rare, sort of soft plum purple base for a little while now, but I could never come up with a good design It's definitely on my to-do list though!

I'm editing the forum right now to add a couple alternative factors I too hope this base gets added! I think it would have a lot of potential. ^^

I love it but if it makes it into the game please please please choose at least one none BO special/combo base as a factor. It’s so pretty, and so hard to get combo bases even with easy factors, having rare/applicator factors would be greatly appreciated.

(Cassis would be a good one, and so would Cimmerian with the new base drop!)
